It was a tiring day at work, we are having a very challenging time with one of our third grade students (emotionally disturbed). I've also had a headache for much of the day.
My nephew's reattachment surgery was not a complete success. He had follow up surgery this afternoon to amputate most of his index finger and about half of his middle finger :(
Thanks Ami!, I'm a bit upset, DH called this afternoon, he got two late in the day calls and forgot that we were even going this weekend, he said he may not go with us! The whole point of him going was I can't handle both little ones all weekend at one of these competitions without help! I about had a be nervous breakdown last time, but I need to go, it's jordyn's last one of the year and she couldn't stay with anyone else overnight at the hotel. I am extremely upset at the moment about it!
Unfortunately not. The only non-cheer friends (which are all her friends, LOL!) that are okay being around and helping out with the girls is Madie and she has two small sisters also and her mom looks for a lot of her help on the weekends.
I talked to DH again, he said unless the customer objects he'll be putting in a compressor tomorrow, which will take a good 4 hours, so if he didn't have any other calls, he could head out and get there by the time she competes individually at the earliest, and that's it. I just have to learn to accept for next year that I'll be doing all this on my own, it's her last year and I'm not missing it. Same with this competition, it's her last one of the year, we'll go, hopefully I will be able to get through it without losing my mind and be thankful I have Monday off of work to recuperate. If worse comes to worse, since she doesn't. Compete til 4 ish on Sunday, we'll just have a nice morning, check out of the hotel, drop her off at e competition and head home, she can get a ride home with her coach. :0(
Thanks, we ended up going and DH met us yesterday morning for the day. This venue ended up good for the girls to be able to run around in a bit more and behave better not being confined to chairs. We all had a pretty good time.

This is a weekend of running and I am very thankful for my husband's brother and family for helping me out.

I'm sorry Tracy that stinks :(
I hope you don't get to miss Jordyn's competition tomorrow.
