I got the kids off to school and came home to nap.  My sinuses have been on guard for a few days and knocking me on my butt.  I will be putting away groceries in a bit.  Looks like Natalie will be coming home.  She isn't feeling well and I am about to go get her.  I have taken down and put away the Halloween stuff outside and threw away the carved, now rotten pumpkins.  That was gross.  I nee to do some straightening up around here and I need to make cookies.  Matthew asked me to make some last night so I told him I would.

I voted while Buffy was at the dog sitters.  No line, no waiting, and the workers were friendly.  Glad I did it early.  DH went last week and had the same experience.  I don't know why more people don't vote early?

I also made it to the bank, Starbucks and the library to pick up a book Zeph needs for literature group.  Buffy had a wonderful time and is exhausted from playing with the other dogs.  This arrangement is going to work great.

Hi everyone, happy Friday. It's the last day of our unexpected vacation week. There are still areas with no power and roads blocked by trees/debris. We feel very fortunate.

Today, food shopping and cleaning, maybe a trip to DD or the gelatto place with Ian.  Kayleigh is doing a big room cleaning, applying for scholarships, putting the finishing touches on her college application essays and planning to visit Starbucks with friends later on.

Tomorrow, we have to be up early for a scout breakfast. Then, free the rest of the day til book club for me in the evening.

Sunday, no plans at all, but who knows what the kids will set up with their own friends to do.

Will be so glad when Tuesday comes.  I've had 3 calls in the last hour about the election.  Yesterday I flat out told this very nice man that no- Kristen does NOT live here and no, I have no idea if she's sent back her absentee ballot yet- I've only texted her a half-dozen times to remind her.  Really wanted to give out her cell phone number so she can share in the joy of calls we've had.  I'm so mean :)

Last regular game tonight.  Senior night too.  We're in the playoffs, lost 2 games this year.  Not sure how far we'll get, but it is kind of neat.

At the game tonight, the coach of the opposing team was one of the original coaches of our team when the school opened in 2007.  His son is a senior on our team.

Becca has a rehersal tomorrow afternoon and a pre-concert tomorrow night.  She's kind of annoyed b/c she was supposed to go to a friend's birthday party- but the Virginia Music Educator's confrence where they are playing at in 2 weeks kind of trumps everything.  This is a concert to reherse what they are playing there.    Told her we'd take her out to eat afterwards.  And she can have this friend and others over here in a few weeks.

Heather, let me know how the pumpkin bread comes out. My gluten free pumpkin muffins weren't much of a hit here, they were decent, but really not nearly as good as regular pumpkin bread. I'd love to find one that works well that the kids like.

We have another busy weekend at our house.  Jordyn has her last home game of the football season to cheer at.  They have an away game next week that we won't go to, and then they have play offs.  So we'll see how far they get into playoffs.  They are undefeated right now, and this is the last full class at their high school, they have a new high school and all the classes after her are split between the 2 high schools, so its a big deal this year that they are in the play offs, and likely district champions after tonight.

Madison has a birthday party tomorrow to attend, so Emma and I are going with her to that, unless DH doesn't have any jobs, then she can stay with him.  I have tons of laundry and cleaning to catch up on also.  I am going to get the new Tinkerbell movie for the girls to have a movie night tomorrow night

DH is going to the Texans game Sunday with a guy he does work for, so he'll be gone the entire day, and Jordyn has a cheer competition, luckily its in town and a small one, so the girls and I will go to this one.  Jordyn is so excited, you should have seen her last night.  Since they have 4 boys on their team this year, she actually gets to be a flyer for at least one stunt, she was telling me about being able to do a basket toss last night. LOL!  And, I have been working on a menu all week and recipes, I am hoping to do a big grocery trip and bulk cooking on Sunday for the next 2 weeks.

Have a great weekend!!

This morning I am taking Buffy to puppy playdate to see if she gets along with a potential petsitter's dogs.  This woman fosters dogs for the shelter where we got Buffy and comes highly recommeend.  I hope it works out so this would be the optimal arrangement while we go on vacations.   She is much less costly than in an home sitter and I can still use the other lady who I really like to pop infor the cat.

I'm going to the outlet mall while Buffy is playing.  After lunch either DH or I are taking Zeph bowling for his free league practice games.  I need to do grocery shopping at elast enough to get us through the weekend.   I've got go to Trader Joes too.  I'm making a gluten/dairy free chocolate chip  pumpkin bread for Monday's game club gathering and I need Trader Joes cholcolate chips.  It's not near us and I bet  DH and Zeph will want to come with.

Saturday is a whatever day.  Sunday we have set aside half the day to play Risk Godstorm edition.  It's the old style type that takes hours to play and we only bring it out once or twice a year.  It's an event!
