Good morning, everyone.  No school for the kids today.  We are in the middle of an ice storm--it has been raining since about 8:00 last night. Tongue Out  DD and DS are supposed to go to a LYO planning retreat this afternoon, but unless things improve greatly between now and then, we will be keeping them home until we feel better about the road conditions.  Today is my last day of winter break.  I bought my books for the new semester yesterday, so I am ready to start on Monday.  I have the office just about cleaned out so I can work in there.  DS and I have been working on "The Dungeon" (our utility room).  He wants to make it a media room and I am fine with that, especially since he has taken the initiative to clean it out and get it looking decent.  All we need down there now is some shelving for all the things we store in there, and we should be good to go.  We don't have any big plans for the weekend...I want to finish up my various projects before spring semester starts on Monday, DH will likely need to plow snow (we're expecting snow this afternoon), and if the kids are able to go to the retreat, they will be gone til Sunday afternoon.  Sunday evening DD and I are going to go see Les Miz at the movie theater.

Morning.  I messed up this morning and turned my alram off and went back to sleep.  Argh, so we hit the floor running.  But everyone got themselves together quickly and even had time to eat a quick breakfast.  Tim was irritating me this morning but has been for a while now.  He thinks I can't handle paying the bills every payday for some reason and thinks he needs to take it back over and I won't let him.  I love this sort of stuff, keeping it all organized and all.  So now he's trying to get me to file them all by month and I don't want to do it that way.  I told him I like doing it my way.  Anyway, so he started with all that again this morning.  So I started my day pissed.  Nice, huh?  But I have dishes to do today and some small stuff.Nothing planned for tonight, I might take Natalie pants shopping.  We'll see.  Her doctor took her out of her boot yesterday.  She is still having some pain but he said the bone is healed.  Thought it might be some lagaments or tendons and said that just walking normal on it might help it.  I know what he means and I agree.  She was nervous going to school without the boot on.  If someone steps or kicks her foot it hurts.

Saturday is going to be crazy.  Natalie wants to try and win some Justin Bieber tickets so she has to round up all her JB stuff and tote it down to this car dealership who will be giving tickets and backstage passes for a meet and greet to the person with the most JB stuff.  Lordy, you know that is going to be a crazy screaming madhouse.   But, I am hoping she has a chance since that means I don't have to drive her to Nashville to try and snag some tickets from Scooter Braun who walks around outside the venue giving away free tickets to fans.  I know, silly but she is young and only will experience this type of stuff only once so I feel I need to give her that chance.  She knows her chances are really low so we do have alternative plans.

Sunday, is recovery day.  LOL  Nothing planned so far today but I am sure something will come up

Dinner tonight will be tacos/mexican salad.

Well, DH and Z are still asleep.  We were talking about going to Starved Rock today to see the bald eagles and hike since it's suppose to be in the 50s today, but it's wet and drizzling.  The trails are rough and hilly and I would guess they are muddy and slippery, so I'm guessing that we'll hold off.   If the sun comes up in the next two hours, we might reconsider.  If not, it will be a school day.  Tonight Zeph and I have a program to attend at the wildlife center about winter animal tracking.

Tomorrow Zeph has bowling,  In the afternoon my parents are taking him to see Parental Guidance and out to dinner.  DH and I plan to work around the house all day.  Sunday afternoon we are meeting friends and attending a presentation about the Hindenburg Disaster.  Someone will have to grocery shop for sandwich supplies.  I think we're stocked for dinners, but i know we have to pack a lunch on Monday.

This will probably be the last quiet weekend for quite a while.  Nothing much planned for today or tonight and I haven't figured out dinner.  Maybe we'll make homemade pizzas or something, we'll see how DH's schedule looks later today.

Saturday, grocery shopping, a walk/jog first thing in the morning with DH as we need to get back into an exercise routine,  paperwork for the business I am sure, and some laundry.  Jordyn is spending the day with her BFF Madi going to the art store and stuff, I know she has to work so I am not sure when they are going, I need to check on that.  They have an english project they are working on, so Madi is staying the night at the house as Jordyn is babysitting for DH and I.  DH's birthday is today (Friday), so I rented a hotel room for us Saturday night to have some alone time.  So I need to find out what time Jordyn is going to be home Saturday evening for us to head over there and figure out dinner and all that stuff.

Sunday, laundry, menu planning, and a bunch of other household chore stuff.  Jordyn has work and cheer practice in the evening.

I'm catching up on the boards, for one, because I haven't been able to log on in ages. Don't know what changed!

Weekend is busy. I'm still (embarrassingly) taking down Christmas stuff. Well, mainly down but needs to go in attic. Tonight ds10 has basketball practice. Tomorrow, ds12 has a math competition and bass lesson and ds10 has basketball game. Sunday is soccer for ds10, church for everyone, and youth group for ds12. And ds12 will be presenting his science fair project in class next week, so lots of practice on that. On a very happy note, ds12 graduated from his IEP yesterday - woohoo!!!  That's a huge step for a kid who's been receiving services since 18 months of age. :)  Dd20 went back for her last semester of college and dd22 bought her first car this week. Lots of changes.

Hi all. It was a little rough at work today and we were all so tired!  So glad for the end of the day.  Went food shopping, now home heating up some of the turkey soup I made earlier in the week and going to make grilled cheese sandwiches.  Kids both had regular school days. After dinner, going to do a small amount of housework and then relax in front of the fire til bedtime.

Tomorrow, I'm going to do cleaning and chores, at least for the morning.  In the afternoon, the kids will be out. They both have haircut appointments, and they want to go to Starbucks and do a little shopping - they each need a couple of small items, and then Kayleigh will take Ian to his 4H meeting and help out the group leader.

SUnday, Ian has a scout thing, I think it's cross country skiing. Kayleigh and I might go to Olive Garden for lunch with the gift card I got for Christmas. I hope to spend the rest of the day relaxing, reading, etc.

Sorry she didn't win the tickets, but looks like the event made for a great memory.
