Good morning!  I stayed home yesterday, my sinuses and allergies got the best of me and I just needed a day to sleep, which was good because I was up late last night making cupcakes for Emma's birthday today.

DH took in the cupcakes and the newly hatched butterflies into school today for her and her class.  They went to the farm on a field trip yesterday and the classroom chicks are about to hatch, so it worked out well.  I have projects at work today to work on and catch up on after yesterday.  No other real plans.  I am not sure if we'll go out to dinner for Emma's birthday tonight or wait for a few day to do that.  I do need to run out and buy wrapping paper and tape to wrap up her birthday presents.

Tomorrow, chiropractor appointment first thing in the morning, then we are spending the morning cleaning, and I will put DH to work on the brakes on both my truck and Jordyn's car.  I may have him teach her how to change the oil also.  Jordyn has to work from 1-3 and then be back at the gym at 7 to work on stunting videos for college, so she is running errands in between those times.  I am taking the girls to the YMCA to test for swim lessons to get them signed up finally.

Sunday, no real plans, the weather is supposed to be wonderful, so I have a feeling DH will want to go skydiving.  Oh, we have Jordyn's cheerleading banquet from 3-5 also, which means I don't need to deal with planning dinner.  But we'll need to go grocery shopping.

And remember, tax day is Monday, so anyone not done yet, or needed to mail a payment check (Cry) Monday is your day!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

I was all geared up for what I thought was going to be a super busy Saturday...and then realized that it's actually the Saturday after next that all the activities were occuring. Oops. Too bad all the events couldn't be spread out between the two Saturdays so that we're not running around like crazy all in one day!

What are "stunting videos", arryl?

Jordyn is a back base when doing stunts for cheerleading, raising girls up on her hands, throwing them up into twists and other acrobatic skills. Her scholarship is for that for college, and they need more videos of her showing what she can do as a base, her strength, range of motion, skill level, etc. so they can work on plans over the summer that incorporate all of the new incoming freshman that are replacing the outgoing seniors, where everyone fits into the routines, etc.

Don't you hate when everything gets bunched up into one weekend or day? We've been pretty lucky this year so far, but not looking forward to that sort of stuff as the little ones get bigger and more involved in activities.

Morning, still is for 10 more minutes.  It has started off as a really good day.  A happy day.  Kids got off to school fine.  Girls are buying breakfast at school today.  I am working today since I took off yesterday due to the storms.  Ended up picking the kids up early cause they were getting nervous and other paretns were picking thier kids up.  Today my work day has been quick so far.  We recieved our office supply order, YAY!  I have ink in my printer now, a tape despenser and a new stapler that isn't broke.  Life is good.  I spent my morning going through the order, dividing it up for the different professors who ordered things and putting the rest away.  My co-worker did a jig with the paper clips as moraacas.  LOL  Fun day in the office.  LOL  I can't recall anything going on this evening.  There is something, I know there is.  I am making bruswick stew for dinner with the leftover pork.

Saturday the girls are going shopping with my mom and spending overnight with her while Matthew, Tim and I gor camping.  Can't wait!  Looking forward to it.  Just one night, return home on Sunday.

Sunday I think the girls will be going to church with my mom.  We will return and I am sure I will cathc up on my sleep since I won't sleep good in the tent.  LOL  Some yard work is in order also.  We need to mow, Tim never did complete it last weekend for whatever reason.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

I've been not here lately.  I have a temp position with Pearson- they're doing scoring for NAEP (nation's report card).  I know more about standardized testing in the public schools then I really wanted to LOL.  I'm not going to say what my position is on it- since I'm kind of getting paid for scoring it right now LOL.  And if I did I'd be out of a job.

For the most part I like it.  It's a pretty stress-free job that I get to meet a bunch of different people.  And the management treats you like an adult.  But this week- man I've wanted to just walk out of the building and go to the beach.  What we're working on now has just been hard.  The way the kids are wording stuff in their essays is making it hard to "grade" it.  And it doesn't help that the person I'm sitting next to is driving me NUTSO.  Sigh.  To top it off- I know her b/c she goes to church with me AND we have a couple of mutual friends.  So I have to be really careful with what I say.

They're asking people to work overtime b/c this part of the project needs to be done on Friday.  And our group is nowhere near done.  That only adds more stress to a project that's already a pain.  Today I guess our supervisor said something that ticked the lady next to me off- she left without saying goodbye to me- nor saying "see you tomorrow".

Kids are fine.  I will have a sophomore in college in 5 weeks.  Unbelivable.  She's still got the BF- even updated her status on facebook that she's in a "relationship".  I have no idea if she'll see him or not over the summer.  He lives an hour north of DC, so it's about 4 hours from here.  I don't want her doing I-95 in the DC metro area- she's not experienced enough as a driver.  Shoot "I" don't even like doing that drive.

Crazy week all around here. All kinds of nonsense going on at work, making things unpleasant. Not going to be any better by Monday. Tonight is junior prom, it is held at the school and is a pretty low key affair. DS will be going to Senior Ball in a few weeks also. A senior asked him last week. Tomorrow DS has work on his Eagle Scout project in the morning and homework in the afternoon. DD had practice this morning, and is helping print flyers this afternoon. Tomorrow she has homework also. Otherwise the weekend is pretty quiet which is fine cause the next four weekends all h@ll breaks loose around here. I am trying to get ahead on meal planning, laundry and everything else that needs to be done.

Hi, everyone.  Checking in late...So far, it has been a lazy weekend.  Thursday we got about 6 inches of snow, so on Friday DH went out to plow.  While he was plowing, I did schoolwork and a little cleanup around the house.  We also have a 19 week old black lab puppy, so she has been requiring a fair amount of attention.  I volunteered at the kids' school for an hour, came home and made manicotti for dinner, since DD asked for it, then I picked up DS and his buddy and drove an hour to the nearest place where they could get measured for prom tuxes.

Today, dd opened at work, I had the doggy patrol (feeding, letting in and letting out, making sure the puppy didn't choke to death on her kibble b/c she eats so fast, and competing for bed space), worked out on the tread mill, then I've just been trying to catch up on laundry and housework.  I helped DH pay bills online (hurray--I've been trying to get him comfortable with this for the last year), and DH took me out for dinner tonight.  Tomorrow we are expecting as much as a foot of additional snow.  We also have church, with a box social following, then the Spring Fling carnival at school.  Indoors, of course, since it looks like flipping January around here.  I hope everyone has a fun weekend!

Sorry about the double post.  The puppy likes to "help" on the computer, LOL
