Good morning ladies! TGIF!!!
Prom is May 4. DD is going with The BF. DS and his best friend both got asked by girls in the Senior class, so May 4 is going to be quite an active day around here. I've told DD and DS that their friends can get ready at our house since we have plenty of extra space and bathrooms. Not sure who is going to be here, but I wasn't home last year when DD got ready for prom, so this year I want to be around to take plenty of pictures of everyone! I am hoping that the snow will be gone by then, but with approximately 3 feet of it on the ground, it isn't looking too likely. Thankfully, the entire function is being held at the school, so the kids won't be driving around all over. They are having a catered dinner/pig roast, a dance, and additional activities and prizes. The big prize drawing will be at the end of the evening and you have to be present to win--this is in an effort to encourage the kids to stay there and not go gallivanting all over the countryside.
Hi everyone. Superintendants conference day for me, morning sessions were a big yawn but the lunch was good and so was the afternoon session. While it was hard to leave so early in the morning,it was good to get out an hour early and get back early from the supermarket.
The kids were off, cleaned their rooms and stuff. Dh had a phone interview today and hopes for a 2nd interview next week.
Tonight we're going to watch Gone Baby Gone
Tomorrow big cleaning/chores day. Kayleigh is babysitting in the evening.
Sunday, I have some shopping to do, cooking and baking, maybe grab lunch at Subway with Ian (his favorite) and make a dent in my book club book - the book changed halfway thru the month so now I have two partially read books.

I'm glad we went to the doctor. Poor kid has bronchitis. She said his lungs were border line sounding to warrant an xray to confirm/deny pneumonia, but since she would treat it with the same antibiotics, we declined the xray. He's taking a steamy shower and going to do some more school work and then veg to a WWII documentary. I still plan on his attending dance class tonight unless he doesn't feel up to it.
TGIF indeed! It has been a rough week this week. It has snowed pretty much all week. We got about 5 inches Sunday night into Monday, snow showers on Tuesday, Snow and sleet on Wednesday, and things have deteriorated from there. On Wednesday, despite the snowpack still on the ground, the new stuff wasn't sticking to cleared surfaces because the ground was too warm. Yesterday morning it was rough going getting to school for me (I drive about 40 miles to the CC in the nearest large town), but getting home was fine, even though it was beginning to snow fairly heavily. The kids' school cancelled all afternoon and evening activities at 2:45 yesterday afternoon, and by 6:00 when DD got home from her hair appointment, the snow was coming up to the floorboards of the Mini. The wind picked up markedly about 7:30-8:00, and it howled all night. It actually woke up all three of the dogs and I had to let them out at MIDNIGHT last night to see what the commotion was, LOL. They woke me again at 5:00 A.M. to be fed, and there had to have been at least a foot of new snow on the sidewalk. School is cancelled for DD and DS, the CC campus I attend is closed, and the entire town is shut down today. DH and DS are out plowing, Crazydog and the puppy are out playing in the snowdrifts, The Beagle is hiding under our bed, DD and a friend are out sledding (not my idea of a good time in this wind, but whatever.), I took a sociology test, an astronomy exam, participated in online discussion in photography, and posted my photo for the student art exhibit in the dropbox. I am trying to get up enough gumption to clean, because the house desperately needs it, but all I really want to do is hibernate!
Tomorrow is a big community festival to raise money for the park/sports complex. DH is cooking, DD is waiting tables. I don't know if I want to attend or not. When she is done with her shift, DD is taking her prom dress to be altered and going shopping in Duluth with a friend. I have to take a landscape or architecture photo. I also have to go to the camera shop and get my exhibit photo printed. Hopefully the roads and the weather will be better. No plans for Sunday except for church and brunch with DH after.
Warehouse 13 is kind of like a X Files reboot. It's more campy and light hearted. it was originally a Sci Fy channel show. but we're watchign it on Netflix. We finished Merlin season 4 and are eagerly awaiting season 5 to be available. In the meantime, this is a family show that appeals to us all.
Morning. I am off today. our power went out during the night, woke me cause I think it blinked a few times and cause some thing to make noise going off and on. I woke right when it went out for a while. It was out for about 30 minutes. When it came back on I saw what was happening overnight in Massachusetts. So I was up for a while watching that and finally went to bed. Got up on time and the kids also. They have a half day of school today. They get out round lunch time so I am taking them to lunch and then Natalie, wants to hit the store for a Justin Bieber shirt. Today is going on a weekend trip with friends from work, fishing and all the stupid stuff men do when they aren't with their wives. LOL He gets back late Sunday evening. I need to figure out dinner. Maybe frozen pizza.
Tomorrow, we are going to be lazy. Tim keeps everyone so on edge on weekend that we are doing nothing. Not even cleaning. He really pushes constant chore all weekend and hence kids are snappy and on edge as am I since they come to me complaining. So it will be nice to have relaxing weekend, truly relaxing.
Sunday, I guess will be our cleaning day. Do some straightening, dishes, laundry. All that good stuff.
