First quiet weekend in quite a while for us.  Today, a few small projects at work and errands to run at lunch.  Jordyn has to work tonight, not sure what else for her.

Tomorrow, we have someone coming over to aerate the yard and Jordyn is going to the spring show at the high school, one of her BFFs is in it, I think she has to work in the afternoon also.  Sunday she has a photo shoot for some more senior pictures and the rest of the time she'll be studying for her AP exams next week.

I am doing a large grocery shopping trip and some bulk cooking Sunday, and hoping to get a garden set up and planting done, as well as cleaning and laundry.

Have a great one!!

Morning. It's a cool morning here.  I think we migh get some rain too. Today is my day off.  Kids got off to school alright. I am doing some cleaning. Dishwasher has stopped running already and I am dusting.  I will be doing a lot of cleaning today. I am also waiting on the cable dude to,show up to set us up for digital cable and a DVR.

Tomorrow is KY Derby day and our little city is celebrating with Derby Days. I think we may go if it does rain. We will also go grab some fruit from the Farmers Market in the morning.

Sunday I am not sure what we might be doing. I think we might get rain all weekend though, off and on possibly.

YAY!  Cable dude is here already!  I don't have to sit here all morning waiting.

Today is a regular school and housework day.  Break dance class is tonight.  This weekend DH has 2 freelance jobs to complete.  Saturday is wide open and I hope to get outside to weed the beds by the house and mailbox.. The ground is too wet for us to rotortill the garden as I had hoped.  I do have plants flowers blooming up and I would like to take photos and email to MIL and find out what they are.  Sunday is Children's Day and we will do something fun. We'll have to wait and see about the weather to decide on an activity.  Sunday is also a presentation on the W.A.S.P. which I think DS wants to attend.   DS needs to complete his poster board on our trip to Charleston for the homeschool showcase on Monday.  It is part of his year long Civil War study. The library is hosting the event for students to share projects from the school year.

It has been a rough week, and today has been pretty awful.  I am having a very hard time dealing with DD lately.  She takes everything we say to her,  twists it around into a criticism, says nasty things to us (well, me, mostly), and then storms off in a huff.  Prom is tomorrow and she is all hyped up about that--she has all kinds of plans with The BF and her friends today, tomorrow, and apparently, tomorrow night.  I might get a picture if I am lucky.  This morning before she left for school, she came to me and asked "Do I have to come home tomorrow night?"

<<blink>>  incredulous stare.  Me:  "What kind of a question is that?  Of course you have to come home tomorrow night."

It all went downhill from there.  Apparently a bunch of boys and girls were going to have a sleepover at this boys' house with his parents' approval.  He is a nice boy.  I like him.  I like his parents.  But a co-ed sleepover?  I don't think so.  Not even if "the boys are sleeping in the basement and the girls are sleeping upstairs."

Anyway, DD blew up at me and accused me of liking DS more than her, and accused DH and I of thinking that she's "horrible".  There was a lot of yelling and crying.  She then huffed out the door and took DS to school, then, once she had time to think about what was said, she came back home and apologised.  I;m glad she came back and I'm glad we got things worked out, but I am still upset and exhausted.  I am questioning everyhing I have done and am doing as a parent.  Yes, I have to admit, DS is far easier to live with than DD is.  I can actually have a conversation with him without him getting angry with me over nothing and storming off.   <<sigh>>

On top of this, I had to take an astronomy test today (amazingly, I got a 93--not sure how I managed it), and the puppy has peed in the house THREE TIMES just this morning.  I also have an entire week's worth of laundry to do and my parents keep calling me wanting us to come down for a long weekend of watching my dad chain smoke and boss people around.  UGH.  I want to run away from home.

Hugs Wendy! I saw your 93, woohoo!! I am sorry DD is being so grrr lately, I think its a full moon, I've heard that from a few others lately also. I hope things get better over the next few weeks. How much longer are they in school? Do you have a lot of days to make up for snow, it seems like you guys had even more than usual this year!

Thanks, Tracy.  I think the kids only have to make up one day.

Hugs Wendy, sorry your DD is being so difficult. Teens are not always my favorite kind of people to parent.

Super hectic work day. I covered for our classroom teacher for the morning.  The kids had regular school days.  After work , I went to the supermarket and the liquor store. After our pizza, I'm going to open a bottle of wine and just veg.

Tomorrow, a cleaning day for me. Hope to finish up early afternoon, then do some weeding, and then read/have wine on the deck.  Ian plans to do homework, some writing and yardwork.  Kayleigh plans on going cycling and I don't know what else.

Sunday, I'm meeting up with a friend for breakfast, then puttering around, maybe shopping with Ian who needs dress pants and shoes.  Kayleigh has a babysitting gig later in the day
