We have finally arrived at the weekend, how do you plan on spending it?
I don't know how people stay up til midnight watching the olympics in the eastern time zone! I am taking the weekend off of it most likely unless I can catch a bit of tennis this weekend. I have a busy day today, meeting at 10, errands at lunch to get stuff for Jordyn's camp, pick up the kids from daycare this afternoon, drop them off at the YMCA, and then meet Jordyn at the cheer send off dinner, back to pick up the kids and then home to crash! I am sure Jordyn will be up late packing tonight as they are meeting at either 8 or 9 tomorrow morning to leave for camp.
The rest of the weekend should be relatively quiet. We have to drop off Jordyn in the morning at the high school. Then the little girls and I have a birthday party at a city recreation center pool for one of my co-worker's daughter who is turning 5 at 10:30, which will be great because by the time we get home and lunch the girls will be ready to take a nice long nap! And then we will probably do a movie night. Depending on how much DH works, we''ll either go grocery shopping saturday or sunday. I have a bunch of laundry and cleaning to do. We finished up most of DH's paperwork last night, so hopefully we won't have much this weekend to do.
Have a great weekend!!
It's Kayleigh's last day at work. She was really sad about that when I dropped her off this morning. She's probably less sad now, a camper bit her. May need to take her out for ice cream later, unless she has plans with friends/coworkers.
Regular work day for me, then did big food shopping. NOw I have to clean.
Tomorrow, my sister and BIL are coming over mid afternoon. We'll hang out, have drinks and snack, eventually we'll bbq and have a bonfire.
Sunday, Kayleigh and I are having a girls day out. We are going to brunch at a nice Inn, going to an art museum, then seeing Hunger Games at the bargain theater, and if we have to fill in time, we'll find something else to do.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

DH and Zeph just left for the BIG water park. Zeph had no idea they were going. He had been so pleasant about school and moving stuff taking precidence over regular summer activiites. It was fun to surprise him. They'll be home about 9:00. I plan to spend the afternoon/evening cleaning.
Tomorrow Fermi and I are attending doggy Olympics. He has mellowed so much lately and really is a proper family dog now. While he still needs to be seperated from the cat, he's stopped herding Zeph and hasn't been aggressive at all for at least 3 weeks. It's like someting just clicked in his brain. All my training with him has paid off, he's obeying without treats. He's fun, playful, and snuggly. We'll see how he is wiht 100 of other dogs milling about. Saturday evening we plan to watch more of Roots and Zeph has some studying to do and a history project to finish up.
Sunday Zeph is going to a historical murder mystery dinner. I don't know what DH and I will do.
So we decided to do a "family activity" yesterday. Becca brought the BF. The girls didn't want to go to the waterpark (period issues- it's a good thing neither of them did swimming as a sport b/c coaches wouldn't put up with "I'm not wearing a tampon") So dh and I dropped the kids off at Busch Gardens. Kristen said "I'm not babysitting!" Told her to look on it as the 3 of them wanted to go to the park, dh and I wanted to do the waterpark, and for us to allow you do to so you need to stick together as a group.
Interesting day LOL. I fell off one of the rafts and sprained my ankle. Ouch. Minor sprain- it's not hurting nearly as bad as it was yesterday. The kids call us at 5- the BF races BMX bikes and had a race at 8 (and nobody said anything because?). So we run back to the park to get the kids. We were going to eat something there. This random lady hands us 3 meal vouchers (a company thing I guess) because they can't use them- they need to leave. We wound up not using them b/c we had to leave (and then the BF informs us as we're driving down rt 60 that the race was canceled- teenagers.............) Took him out to eat- it was a nice evening. The meal tickets are good until the end of the year, I guess we're making another trip out there. I have no idea if it's going to happen in the 3 days Kristen's home before she leaves for school or not.
And then Kristen LOL. Felt like the 3rd wheel the whole time. The kids are standing in line for Verbolten (their newest roller-coaster) and this kid next to them in line by himself starts talking to them. And I guess hitting on Kristen LOL. He's a 9th grader- said something about the high school they go to. Kristen sat next to him on the ride LOL. She said "Mom- he's a FRESHMAN in high school and I'm in COLLEGE......."
We leave tomorrow and will be back next Sunday. Then comes 4 very busy days where we try to get Kristen ready for school. I have no idea if all of her stuff is going to fit in the car or not- we may very well wind up making another trip out there in a week with the rest of her stuff..........
I didn't manage to see Milennium Park when I was in Chicago last week, but my sisters have been and say that it's very beautiful. HOpe you enjoyed!
When Kristen went to Chicago years ago on a trip- they didn't see Millenium Park. They did see the Navy Pier, Sears (or whatever it's called now) Tower, and a couple of other "touristy" spots.
I think Chicago is where they're headed this year for orchestra.
