Go Kenzie!!! Good luck with the rest of the meet.

Good luck with the hockey position. While I understand it takes a lot to run a sport club/league of any kind, more and more I feel like they expect participants to sit and wait for them and do things on their schedule and ask how high when they say jump!
I submitted Megan's Zone application on Thursday morning and I still haven't heard anything. I have no idea when she needs to be ther for warm ups and haven't been able to give them her t-shirt/uniform information...

LOL Cheryl! I've been preparing jordyn for the no car on campus for a while. I don't know what the rule is at Oregon, a question to ask at the recruiting visit in October I suppose, but I have already told jordyn she doesn't need to take her car, maybe sophomore year after she's had a year under her belt. She'll have the car if she's with my brother in Michigan, but they have an excellent public transportation system downtown and on campus, so she really won't be doing a lot of driving there either, p,us, she needs to learn to drive in the snow still...

She's really not happy about the no car rule.

But shoot- she won't even drive the interstate by herself here.  In no way, shape or form am I letting her have a car to drive around an area that does have almost as much traffic as this area does (when Lynchburg, Liberty and Randolph College are in sesson there's a ton of college kids in the area.)

Not to mention that the van does have a limited lifespan.  Dh is hoping to get Becca through high school in it.  I know it needs shocks and struts.  The gas gauge no longer works.  And that would be something else I'd worry about.  Kristen NEVER knows how much gas is in that van- I'M the one who keeps track of it.  And I could see it now- the darn thing has no gas and she's in the middle of traffic on 29- with a ton of people behind her honking their horns.  And we aren't getting it fixed- not spending $500-600 more on a car with 125,000 miles on it.

She can get by.  Maybe even until she does student teaching.  Unless of course they let her do it here.  And she would LOVE to do it here- she'd love to work with the middle/high school orchestra teachers- she's got a relationship with both of them.  I don't think it would happen- I think the only school that has a relationship with our school system is James Madison.  The last 2 student teachers in the music dept that came through here were JMU students.
