I have converted from a side sleeper to a back sleeper since getting this pillow.

I have heard of it, DH has a small pillow that has those small little "pills" of some sort that we take on airplanes occassionally, it sounds like sort of the same type of thing. I'll have to see what the chiropractor recommends. I know I am in need of a new pillow, I love my memory foam one, but I think it was the shape of mine that he didn't like since it has a supportive thing for your neck, but DH said that pushes your spine forward and causes problems. I'm not a back sleeper at all, I'm a side sleeper, so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

It's called a sobakawa pillow and I got it off amazon. It makes noise as the buckwheat hulls shift and it is small. It conforms to your head since the buckwheat hulls are loose. It took me about a week to get used to sleeping with it. I took it with us on vacation. It has made such a difference.

We were gone 10 days. Having a hard time getting back to reality.

I think I've seen buckwheat pillows at Walgreens but call first. The chiropractor may know of some places that sell them too.

I changed to a new chiropractor last week, he's been DH's for a while. Apparently they were discussing my pillow at their last appointment, so I am expecting him to suggest a change of pillows at my appointment this week. Where do you get a buckwheat one? And is that opposed to a feather pillow or a memory foam one?

Hi, everyone. I am taking a break from my homework, so I thought I would check in. This week was the beginning of Wednesday Bible Quest. We had 22 kids, including the two preschoolers that came with their mom, who is the snack volunteer. I had to leave my Wednesday afternoon science lab early to run to the school and make sure we didn't leave any of the little cherubs behind ( the churches are responsible for transporting participants in their Wednesday afternoon programs now). Thank heaven the lab wrapped up early so I did not miss anything. I ended up getting 60 points out of a possible 80 points on the portion of the science test that has been graded. I can get up to 20 additional points on the essay portion which has not yet been graded, so I hope to scrape a B on that test. There is another science test coming up this Friday (4 chapters in 2 weeks, ugh), and I have to turn in a project contract this Friday as well for a 100 point project in interpersonal communication which is due at the end of the semester. I have written the contract, a tentative project timeline, selected some of my source material, and e mailed it all to myself because now my computer and my wireless printer will no longer talk to each other. The Grizzlies kicked the other team to the curb last night, 42 to 6, on a miserable wet, windy, rainy and snowy, yes, snowy, night. DS's socks froze to his legs, it was so cold. Oh, and after having to stay home last Friday, DD has been much nicer to live with ;-)

Amy,
I am so glad your dad is doing well and that the hospital staff had been helpful. I hope his recovery continues to go well.

I fele for your son. I have debilitating migraines which cause aphasia and physical twitches (to the point that I can't drive) plus the headaches and vomitting. I was not functining well as a mon/wife/myslef.

I am not on meds as my neuro felt that they would be hit and miss. They are now managable. Acupuncture worked wonders for me as did changing to a buckwheat pillow (something about the alignment of my neck/head while I sleep). A regular sleep and wake schedule helped too.
I know not all things work for all people, but thought I'd suggest these just in case you haven't tried them.
