I have to admit that this is a problem I thought I would never have to deal with, but now that I am I am clueless.

Connor (13) is 5'5" tall, 125 lbs and no word of a lie, has a 28 inch waist (actually the one pair of 28's that I did find he needs a belt with. As a preteen he wore Huskys, now he's average height, with a good muscular build, with a very small waist.

My problem. I can't find jeans to fit him, never mind regular pants. He needs a 32 inch leg length, it all depends upon the cut and style of the jeans though as some boot cuts hang longer and he can get away with a 30 inch leg.

I know that they sell student size jeans, but they don't fit him properly in the seat or hip. Levi Brand just doesn't fit him right period.

The only pants I've been able to find to fit are from AE and Gap. But at $40 per pair or more I just can't afford them. He's also going into High School this year and prefers a boot cut style jean to anything else.

Anyone out there seen boot cut jeans in a size 28x30 or 28x32 at a reasonable price?

All help is appreciated.

My son is about the same height and weight (5'5", 127 lbs). He wears Lands End jeans in a size 20. The waist is 30" and inseam 30-1/4". You might want to take a look. I don't know what men's size comes after this!

Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to find one pair of jeans and one pair of brown pants to fit him at Target. They had a lot of 28x30 but most didn't fit him properly. Too baggy or loose fitting. He really needs to try things on. As for the shirts, thanks for the information. Though skate clothing is definatly not something my son would wear. He's more of a ss polo shirt/ls button down type of kid.

We tried the boys sizes at JC Penney this weekend but they didn't fit him right in the hip or the seat. Connor wears a size 16 for the waist (28 inches) and needs a belt with those as he only has a 26 1/2 inch waist. Problem is a 16 is too short. (28 leg). I tried 18 slims but they fit him in the waist but were too long in the crotch for him.

I did find some at Target. Mossimo brand had a lot of 28x30 in the store for him to try. He still needs a belt but they didn't fall completly off of him. He got a pair of jeans and a pair of brown pants (on clearance)
