Fun Night at Home with oldest Tween!

It's just me and my older boy (12) tonight. Dh is gone until late tonight and younger Ds went to a friend's house after school for overnight. I picked my son up at b-ball practice at 5:15 and then decided what we wanted to do. First he wanted to go into the city to the Mall but I wasn't thrilled about that (I had been there Christmas shopping all day) but decided to make it his night, so I agreed. We started to drive out of town and it was pouring and extremely windy, we started throwing around other ideas and settled on movie and junk food night! We rented Mr. Deeds (again!-we love Adam Sandler) and went to the store for our "provisions". I never allow a junk food "free for all" but did tonight. What a combo we ended up with! margharita pizza, mashed potatoes, meatballs, fried chicken meal from the deli, cinnamon rolls to bake, little debbie's, licorice, oreos, waffles, chocolate milk, gingerale, LOL! We did have a few items to redeem ourselves to the cashier: skim milk, whole wheat mini bagels, Total and Life cereal, and soup.
Off to get on my jammies, curl up on the couch, and enjoy my boy!
Have a great Friday!

Thanks!
Actually sounded worse than it was!! We ended up eating the chicken legs, some mashed potatoes, and a couple meatballs. The licorce got opened during the movie, gingerale afterwards, and Andrew had a bowl of cereal just now before bed. There will be plenty of snacks leftover for the remainder of the weekend!
We are headed upstairs to watch NBA after I finish doing some tidying downstairs!
