Gift Ideas- 11yo & 14yo girls? 12yo boy?

I have no clue -
Can anyone point me in some great directions for these 2 ages of girls? and I know NOTHING about pre-teen boys!????
thanks!

Girls---Something cool for their room, like a neat lamp or cute mirror to hang on the wall or a pillow for the bed. Also, don't know if you are the Gift Certificate type, but a good bet would be a gift card to one of the trendy clothing stores (Aeropastale, American Eagle, etc). Maybe some kind of jewelry?
Boy or Girls.. do they have I-pods or mP3 players? you could get them a gift card to download songs from the internet.
I'm not too sure about 12yo boy--not quite there yet!! (my son is 9)
I am a big one on gift cards/certificates!

Gift cards, Gift cards, Gift cards!
Some feel they are impersonal, but I'd rather give a gift that I KNOW will be used.
A subscription to Mad magazine.
Mad bathroom reader. (Find it in the humor books at your local big box bookstore)
If he has an IPod, a ITunes gift card (You get them at the check out just about everywhere now).
20 Questions (the girls would like it too) hand held electronic game. (I have one that I keep in my purse. Really fun for everyone.)
It may sound odd, but start getting him tools. Start with a basic, decent sized tool box, a hammer, couple of screw drivers (make sure one is a micro type), measuring tape, pliers & a roll of duct tape. (My son has his own tool set. He uses it a lot.)
A gift card to his favorite resturant. Krispy Kreme bucks (if there is a store in your area).
If he's an avid bike rider, some fingerless biking gloves.
A really cool looking watch.
PJ pants. Not the plain ones...ones with flames or his favorite cartoon charater. Or crazy sayings.
Does he like math? If so, an electronic, hand held Suduko (sp?).
Axe body spray. Or better yet, one of the gift sets they make.
Walkie Talkies. Not the kiddy kind (like Power Rangers), but the good, small kind that people often use for camping. Usually have at least a 2 mile range. Don't forget the batteries.
At this age, CD's or gift certificates to the music store would be a great bet. If the girls have pierced ears, earrings are an easy gift.
