Not sure if this is the right board to post on, but I need some help!

My (just turned) 11 year old daughter hasn't had her first period yet, but she seems to have pms/cramps the same week every month.

Yes it can be normal to have very severe cramps. I am a sufferer myself. There are a few things she can do to help herself...exercise is a good one especially when you least want to. Painkillers used before the pain gets really bad can help stay on top of it. A hot bath or shower. I would say that if she gets really bad cramps take her to the doc to make sure its just pre period cramps and he might have suggestions for you. I would be reluctant to take her home because if it is going to become a regular occurrence then she will need to learn how to cope with them without them ruling her life.

It is common for them to have the "symptoms" for a while before the period actually starts.
