her flute lesson. I asked her if everything was ok & if she was unhappy. She told me she doesn't smile ever if if I want to know if she's happy then I should ask her. I told her she needed to work on her attitude w/adults & she said whatever & put her book up in front of her face.
I tried & I saw no reason to start an argument w/her, I had to bite my tongue. She got really mad w/Nik because I told her to ride the scooter on the opposite side of the street because the side she was on has a sharp curve & any car coming around that curve wouldn't see her in time to stop. All the kids on this street know not to ride on that side & not to stand on that side around that corner. So today they were told they wouldn't be riding anything & spent their time upstairs playing w/AG dolls.
She told Nik she hated me & when she realized she ticked Nik off she told her she didn't really hate me. Nik told me she won't be talking to her much once this camp is over, she'll be nice to her in school but she isn't the kind of girl she thought she was & wants to be friends with. Not being in the same class is going to help in that when school begins.
Dani's mom has the same type of attitude & never sees her dd as ever being wrong, everyone else is. I guess this is why Dani is like she is. We have 4 more days of camp & then on Friday they stay at the theatre till the play at night. If I basically ignore her & don't talk to her I won't lose my cool before then. I'll see the commitment thru & that will be the end of it.
She's a kid w/a miserable attitude, I guess every so often we're bound to run into one. I see it as a lesson for Nik, people aren't always as they appear to be.
