the damp musty smell out of my basement. I suggested boxes of baking soda. Dh just gave me a look & said time would take care of it. I want some help especially since it really bothers my throat & I suspect his one lung.

We just rented one thats a alot bigger than the normal one we use down there. I'm hoping the smell goes away. I think we should have someone come in & clean w/bleach but I don't dare say anything to dh right now because he's just too touchy.

I would call ServPro or one of those other companies that specialize in treating water damage. You really can't do this on your own. They will help treat and prevent mold growth, which is probably what's making you sick. It will get worse if you don't get it all dried out now.

We had to use them when we had terrible ice dams one year.
