Hi everyone. I bought a puppy over the weekend. I've always wanted a Pug, so I decided to go ahead and get one! Am I crazy?! LOL!

Congrats Kim.
I am sure training him will take some time. You might try a crate... it might be easier.
You can call the hotels to see if they allow pets....... Some do and some dont.
take care and cant wait to see the pictures.

Just remember that at 8 weeks he is still a baby, and will make mistakes.

You are a brave, brave woman...

I think I could really love a dog, but I don't know if I have it in me to train a puppy! Good luck!!!!!

Can you explain how you did the crate training? I have him in a pet enclosure gate thing...but not inside a crate.

Let me know what you did as far as feeding times, etc.

Congrats and good luck on the housebreaking! Better you than me, I don't have the patience to deal w/puppies so I send my girls over to my neighbors w/3 dogs (retreiver, Weinmariner & lab) when they want a puppy lol

If you go online, they will let you know if the hotel is pet friendly.

kim when you leave you place the dog in the crate. he will not go to the bathroom until you let him out when you get back. offer water and feed him once or twice a day. usually morning and night time...... what ever works for your schedule. when you get home take him out of the crate and to the same door to go out. offer a walk or play time to get some energy out.....when you notice he is snooping around take him out again..... he will get the picture...... also a good thing if the dog is in the house when you eat crate him then too...then offer a chance to go out when you are done..... that way he will learn not to beg or interrupt your dinner. hope this helps
