Hi,
I was just wondering.... when high school kids apply to university the schools need a transcript of their academic record. What do homeschoolers need? I don't think in Ontario they are tested by the board so how does the universities they are applying to know what their grades are like?

Hi Jenny,
I really just wanted an answer to my question. I believe there are a few board members that homeschool but i am certain most members have their kids in the public school system.
If homeschooling works for them and their family then more power to them. Everyone has different parenting ideas and parenting styles and we accept and respect each other's differences.

Ok I really think we need to get on topic, this has gone way beyond Kelly's initial question!

Can we just agree to disagree and move on--thanks everyone!

I know my reply is late but thank you for answering my question Linda. I think the whole online learning thing is pretty neat. I bet most people don't even realize this is an option. I would love for my kids to be able to take online courses to supplement their learning. If you don't mind me asking what is the cost involved. As you may or may not remember i am in ontario too.

Hello Nancy,
I have heard of SAT (standarized academic tests?) scores although i don't really know what type of questions are asked. Is there a different range like math, english, science based questions? I am unfamiliar with ACT. What does this stand for?
