Tell me how it works in your tweeners school. Do you have to get straight A.'s?, a few B's, maybe you can get a C.
I'm curious how this all works. I was looking at Hannah's school web site and noticed that Hannah was on the honor roll. She got a C in Science. I'm going to call the school at some point today and ask them about it. :)

In Kayleigh's middle school, regular honor roll means that you have at least an 85 average with no report card grade below an 80.

At my daughter's school you can't get a C and be on the honor roll. This term, that closed on Friday, I expect that my daughter will get all A's and a C in Math, so she won't make the honor roll. Unfortunately, she worked harder for that C than all the A's combined.

Honor Roll is all A's and B's.

High Honors is A's and no more than one B.

To make High Honor you have to have a GPA of 3.51-4.0

To make Honor you have to have a GPA of 3.0-3.50

Emily got 2 A's & 4 B's on her report card that came out on Thursday and her GPA is 3.33, sos he made honor roll.

At my girls school all A's is called the Principal's List and all A's & B's is the honor roll and as far as I know if you have any C's you don't make the honor roll.

I honestly am not sure. I know that they get a separate distinction of "A" honor roll and just honor roll. But she hasn't gotten any C's, so I am not sure.

At dd's school (middle)

A/B honor roll. You have to get A's and B's. All A honor roll is included in this, if you get all A's the whole year there's a special recognition at the end of the year at the A/B honor roll ceremony.

A/B/C honor roll. Only A's B's and C's.

Dd is on A/B honor roll. She had all A's so far this year, but I just don't know about this grading period. She's struggled in English the whole year, came home with a B on her interim report, and I don't know if that's going to stick or not.

English isn't her subject. She doesn't like the teacher either (and that's half of it). I keep telling her that even though she doesn't like this lady- she's in her group, and there will be times in her life that she's going to have to deal with difficult people (I don't like her very much either).

Could they do it by GPA? If you average out all her grades she still is high enough? We have no such thing here in Canada that I know of. Maybe highschool but never when I was growing up and nothing at DD's school. They give academic awards at the end of the year (usually the top two males and top two females in each grade) but there is no "honor roll" to speak of.

Our district has 2 "honor rolls"...all As and A-B. Cs aren't considered honor roll.

However, students in Junior Beta Club (at least at our school) simply have to maintain a 3.5 GPA. That could be 6 As & 1 C...we look at GPA only, not letter grades. (Actually, you could get 6 As and 1 D!, and still have a 3.5, or 5 As, 1 B, and 1 C.)

So, maybe your school goes by GPA for honor roll???

In order to get high honors you need a 3.5 or better
to get honor roll you need 3.0 or better. :) Hannah got 3.2 I think. LOL
