Idiot. How did they have his old address? He claims that wasn't his address they sent the letter/bill to. Well you must have given it to them at some point. Why not go to a local florist and have the flowers sent, 99% of them are FTD or whatever organization is involved. Sounds like the guy is just trying to blame someone else and get some of his money back. I have no sympathy for the guy. But then again if they were already separated I don't think his wife really has the right to be ticked off and ask for more money unless of course it turns out that he was seeing the girlfriend before he left his wife. That part is not clear in the story. Perhaps that is why she was so angry, that the flowers were proof of an affair that started before they split. But after he moved out of the home his amorous activities should have been his business. Still don't think he deserves any money, maybe some free flowers as someone suggested. LOL

How stupid! Maybe he wanted to get caught....they had to get that address from somewhere. And if they were alredy seperated it really wasn't any of her business! I dont' think he will win any money. But people sue over just about anything these days.

Well, I think he should have made sure they had his correct information on file.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. This man, more than likely, was cheating on his wife when they were together. Usually the wife finds out AFTER he moves out...that's what happened to me. He got what he deserved and he should feel stupid. 1800 flowers doesn't owe him a thing.
I wouldn't trust a man like this.

I don't know the story and don't have time to read now, but isn't it still considered adultery if a separated spouse has sex with someone else before the divorce? I'm by no means saying he's right in suing, but maybe there was some indication that they are actually having sex which is why it's so blown out of proportion.

But he needs to get over it and doesn't deserve any money or even the recognition that he's getting!! This is ridiculous! And I'm certainly not trying to side with him. I just thought that if you're legally separated but not yet divorced, you cannot engage in sexual activities (or that it's considered adultery which could really hurt the divorce case).

No, you don't have to wait for a divorce.

I think this is a prime example of how "Sue Happy" our society is!
