Sam and Rachel are both going to day camp for 6 weeks, and overnight camp for 2 weeks. I counted that as one activity,

Not sure how to answer; this week is fishing camp, the next two are at his middle school (sports/fitness and science experiments), the next one is through the school but at various places (rock climbing), the next one is at middle school (3D art and robotics), the next one is at the middle school again (sports/fitness and HTML/web design), then Boy Scout camp 80 miles away for a week, then 2 weeks at an art camp (clay/wheel and glass), then a week of vacation. During all of this, he's got violin lessons and is working on 3-4 merit badges. He'll spend a morning with Jr. Academy of Science's 'physics of go-karts' in July on a Saturday. That's everything that's formally scheduled. Then there are the playdates/overnights, and family gatherings and I wasn't sure how to count all that! Maybe 'camp' for 9 weeks, vacation for one, violin, scouts, so 5?!
