How old was your child when they stopped believing in Santa?

My dd is 11 now & seems to still believe.

I just noticed she's come across my Ebay Watch page - so she will know a lot of the things I've been aiming to get the kids! -ugh!-

What's the best explanation? - She's said before that she knew her parents would never LIE to her# !

I had the same issue when I was growing up and i also said I would never lie to my kids about it. My older cousin busted my bubble and proceeded to show me ALL of my gifts. I was LIVID!!

My son was 8 years old and in the third grade when he had his last Santa Christmas. We still do one gift from santa (which is all he ever recieved) but he knows that it's from us. We just told him that it's an extra gift that we are able to afford thanks to the blessings that God has given our family.

LOL our youngest was so funny about the tooth fairy - since she's the only one still losing teeth - she left me a bill addressed to the tooth fairy when I missed giving her her $1!! It is one of my favorite notes ever left for me. We never discussed it, they always just knew!

Caitie (age 11, grade 6) still believes *doubtlessly* (if that is a word?) Last year (age 10, grade 5) she had us call in and leave a msg on "Santa's answering machine". I almost wonder how she still can believe at that age, I think she must be one of the only...

Kayleigh is 11 now and has never mentioned not believing but I have to think that she knows.
