I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I HAVEN'T HAD NEARLY THE MESS THE EAST COAST IS GETTING RIGHT NOW!!!!
We're snowing AGAIN, nine weeks in a row, breaking records for how long the snow is on the ground here in Denver. However I'll take extended snows to a huge storm all at once! I guess we had a bad one before the holidays but we've adapted and are just grateful for sunny days around here now!
Not nearly as snowy as predicted but we got about 2 inches overnight and are now getting freezing rain, which is expected to blend with wintery mix and last thru the day with some more snow overnight.
Snowy, cold and windy but not enough snow to cancel anything. We are supposed to get about 6-7 inches in 24 hours so not too severe. Took me an extra 15 min. to get to school, but that's liveable. We'll see if its worse going home or not.
Snow here. They said we could get a mix later on. Expecting 6-12 depending on the mix. The weather is bad, there is no school and so far all but one of my daycare kids has cancelled. That one child has not arrived yet so I supsect he may be out today as well.
Kind of hoping he is out, as I would love a day off with my ds. I don't get too many of those.
Guess I'm the only one who's enjoying the sun! We have a few clouds, it rained yesterday so it looks like the clouds are finally moving out. We will get to about 62 today. The rest of the week is mid 70's and sunny!
Of course DH is out of town AGAIN when the snow hits... I decided I needed to do something to the driveway in case we had school today. Figured out how to use the snowblower and was about 1/4 of the way done (we have an especially large driveway) when the neighbor came over with his snowblower and finished it for me. He was the same one who did it LAST time it snowed and DH was gone. There were 2 ft drifts in our driveway, ugh.
No school today, again. I don't know why, because it is not that bad. Guess what our total time spent in school will be this week? 1/2 day. We are scheduled to be off FRiday and were off Monday (lincoln's bday) and then Tue and Wed for snow days!!!
