I MUST BE CRAZY!!!

I let my dd's talk me into a big halloween slumber party! It started out as a simple plan on my part. I said "Hey! The movie Monster House is coming out on dvd! Let's buy it and have a little movie night! You can all invite the girls in your class and we can have popcorn and watch the movie together." Sounds simple right? Next thing I know, we are having a slumber party. Dalia is inviting the 4 girls in her class. Sasha is inviting the 7 girls in her class. Blake has 5 girls in her class but we've agreed that they are only invited to the one movie and not to sleepover and she is cool with that. So we have invited a total of 16 girls to our house THIS SATURDAY NIGHT with the possiblity of 11 sleeping over. I think I am nuts! Why would I do that? lol. I guess I'd better start trying to dig my house out of the mess that it's in so that it will be clean for the party. I doubt if everyone will come. I know of at least 2 girls who won't but still, lol.

Okay, you are certifiably nuts. NEVER would I have a sleepover with 11 kids. LOL I won't even have more than 2. I just don't do sleepovers well. It stresses me out. Anyway, I'm sure the girls will have a blast and be forever thankful to Mom. LOL Lets hope you get some mileage out of it in the behaviour area. When they start to act up "Remember when I let you have all those kids sleepover?" Martry Mom. ;-)

lol, last year my 8 yr old had about 7 kids over and my 11 yr old only has 5 girls in her class including her so this will be the biggest one yet. I am thinking with the short notice and it being a "halloween movie marathon" theme, some of the younger kids won't be coming. I don't mind the crowd but our house is really too small for that size of a group. It ought to be interesting. I know one 8 yr old's mom refuses to allow her to sleepover at places because she "can't stand to be away from her over night" which isn't healthy imo. So that's one that won't be there. None of the movies that we have are very scary. We have monster house, halloweentown(3 different ones), the haunted mansion and tower of terror. We also have 3 goosebumps movies that are a bit scarier but my 7 yr old watched them and had no nightmares at all.

Ok I'm getting you a straight jacket. We did a sleep over in september with about 6 boys and I still haven't recovered. LOL!

Good luck. I'm sure your girls will have the best time.

Well, I'm already considered the "cool mom" but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not,lol I love sleepovers actually and I enjoy the company of my kids. My 11 yr old's party invitations are much sought after. I just wish that I could have more space to have the kids hang out. In a year or so, when we get our new house, things will be much easier.

my 12 year old had a sleep over Halloween party last year with 6 of her friends and this summer she had a birthday/slumber party with I think 12 or 13 girls. Maybe it was 10. The kids had a blast. I hope your kids have a gr8 time. :)
BTW: You might want to keep the sugar consumption down after 8. LOL
