She'll have a blast even if she has to walk around a bit....I work down the street from the White House so we see tour buses yr round. Now is definitely a better time crowd-wise than spring when the cherry blossoms are out & its packed! Hope she has some good memories to bring back.
Wow, it sounds like she had a packed trip! I can't believe how much they got to see. I don't know where our school will be staying, but there's an info meeting next week for the parents. I do know they have hired a security firm also--I guess everyone does this--and that only teachers will be chaperoning at a ratio of 10:1. That sounds reasonable to me.
They'll also be flying down there in two regular commercial planes instead of driving, which I'm not thrilled about, but it will give them a few more hours to see things. I do feel very sorry for the other people on the planes, though....
Their trip isn't until May, so it should make packing lighter. It also increases the risk of girls bringing their finest "hoochie mama" outfits!
That sounds so awesome! My son will be going to DC next year and I plan to chaperone. I can't wait!! And what an exciting time to be in DC!
I am going to let Isaiah read your post .. he's so excited about going next year. Especially since the Obama's will be living there then. (even if we DON'T get to see the white house..that matters to him)

My daughter is back from Washington, and she had a wonderful time.
