And yes, after 5.5" of snow, I still got excited to see the flurries that melt as soon as they hit anything.

I had to go to the mall, so I was down the street from the mall in the drive-thru at the bank when I saw them coming down (very sporadically). But most of the sky was blue, so it was only here & there anyway...I just happened to be under clouds. The temp was 34*.

I am so done w/ snow for the whole winter. It basically snowed the whole weekend, starting Friday afternoon. I went into work and told them as soon as I saw flakes, I was leaving because I didn't want to be stuck into a long commute. That was around 2:00. DS' school got dismissed early. It snowed all day Sat. (about 12 ins.) and most of Sun. (maybe 6 more?), then it turned to rain. I was really afraid I wouldn't be able to get my car out this a.m., but I didn't have a problem. It's supposed to rain on Wed, so either it will wash away a lot of snow or make things icy. :( At least Christmas day is supposed to be ok, cause I have to drive an hour.

well, it wasn't even significant enough to report on the news...lol. They talked about sleet, but these were flakes, because they were white (and teeny-tiny) when they hit my hood, but quickly turned to a teeny-tiny drop of water....lol.

I understand, but if you knew our (Adrianne and I) stories, you'd understand.

In Aly's lifetime, it has flurried once (Christmas 2004), and it stuck once Jan 2, 2002 (less than an inch, and flurried the day before). And we just had the most amazing snowfall on 12/11 (Adrianne didn't even get that). See, I can give you DATES. I can also give you dates from MY childhood..maybe not exact dates, but months & years.

The last time (before 12/11) that snow closed down schools was January 1973, I wasn't even born yet!

I don't want YOUR snow either..lol.

It really must be strange seeing snow for the first time. I have to say that at first it's really beautiful, esp. when you see the Christmas lights shining through. If I didn't have to shovel, I would appreciate it much more. I just got a phone call from 19 yo DD that she can't get her car out from in front of the house cause it's all iced up. Of course, I bought ice melt today, but it's in my car, so that doesn't help her much.

Ditto! If I never see another snow flake I will be thrilled. It is so frustrating having plans to be somewhere and stressing about the roads. We have not had a really big snow fall yet,but an inch or two here and there messes up the roads just enough to make them unsafe. It is only Dec and I am so down with 0 wind chills and snow!
