Rasheita,

I know we don't know each other very well. But I am a sentimental sap. I hate that school starts each year. I dread each birthday, new milestones, etc. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled for them to grow and become the people they are going to be, but it hurts.

What can I do to help you? Not much other than sympathize. I'll sit and cry with you. (does that really help??) I cried last week when school started here. There is a song that I listen to often that is all about giving your children wings to fly. There is a part in it that says "I'll have tears as you take off, but I'll cheer as you fly!" I can never sing along, puts a big lump in my throat, but boy does that sum it up!!

(((hugs))) to you! You'll be in my thoughts as your baby starts high school.

Rasheita...I know how you feel. I am having a really hard time with Jasmin going to 6th grade. She is my only girl and I am very protective of her. Jr High is such a big step...I almost feel like she is entering into a whole new phase and it's only downhill from there. I think I feel that way because I know she's going to change (I saw it happen with Isaiah last year) and I am dreading it.

I know I will be a boo hoo'ing fool when Isaiah goes to high school.... he's my oldest etc.

I don't have any advice for you, but I do have a shoulder you can cry on and I will cry with you. ((((HUGS))))

I gave Jordyn a hug and kiss this morning on the way out to the bus stop and told her I couldn't believe my baby was going off to 8th grade.

Let me tell you, when we drove up to the high school this morning for Kristen to get fitted for her orchestra outfit- it just felt surreal.

Rasheita,

Technically, I have no one in elementary any more either--and I only have one!

What's going to be hard for me is going there to sub for one of her old teachers & not seeing her walking down the hall, or in the lunch room, or on the playground!

Thanks to Kelly (mom2emsopmax) for my beautiful siggy! Photobucket
