Hey guys we are home. Our feet our killing us as is my bank account. Yikes. We went $84 over ou limit of what we can bring back but I think the guy didn't want to be bothered with the paperwork. He asked me how often I go to the US and I hummed and hawed and said last time was March. So I guess he figured I was okay to be a little over.

We had fun at the fair but our feet are still killing us. We were there for 8 hours and still had about 1/3 we didn't even get to. There were so many animals and cool things to see we didn't bother going to the commercial exhibits. Kristen went on quite a few rides, I "almost" threw up on the last one. It was very very close and I just kept trying to concentrate on something else and just keep swallowing. That would have been a tad embarrassing. Kristen didn't feel great either and I think it was the funnel cake. It was MASSIVE and greasy and covered in sugar and cherry pie filling. Afterwards we both felt gross and the smell of those greasy food stands was revolting. We didn't eat too much junk, some home-made curly fries, then two soft tacos for lunch and the dreaded funnel cake. We steared waaaaaay clear of the deep fried twinkies and alligator on a stick. We came back to the hotel, crashed for a bit then walked across the street to the Denny's and had potroast and mashed potatoes. The idea of anything deep fried still made us queazy.

The hotel was "adequate" for what we paid. No mold in the bathrooms and a huge TV with nearly 100 channels. LOL The "breakfast" left something to be desired. Dry day old donuts and juice. Today we skipped the

Glad you're back, I'm a little late saying so, sorry! I think your trip sounds like a blast! Alligator on a stick sounds pretty disgusting! LOL! I remember Fashion Bug, I don't think we have any here in AZ. Most of them went out of business in VA but I used to shop there all the time when I was a teenager! LOL! I love shopping but I agree that it can be very exhausting. Glad you guys had a good time. I haven't had funnel cake since the 4th of July...I love love love it!
