I have to admit this was one of the best interviews I've been on. Not so much in getting a job (I'm not sure about that) but I learned a lot.
They liked my degree. The man who was interviewing said that his only concern was that I didn't have experience. SIGH. I run into that one a lot. I try to pull from all of the volunteer positions I've held over the years. But when it's in an interview and you're on the spot- it's hard.
Talked to him for over an hour. Really nice guy. What blew me away was that his undergrad degree was in engineering- and he's making 3/4 of what he'd be making at this non-profit than what he'd be making out as an engineer. Just goes to show you that you don't go into social services for a big paycheck :)
I answered questions as best I could. I'll probably not hear anything for another week or so- he's got a couple of other people to talk to. Even if I don't get it- it's ok. I'm kind of beginning to realize what I need to do to "market" myself- and the top thing is going to be going over to the employment commission and have them take a look at my resume.
