Welcome back Katie. Congrats on the new little one coming. That does sound like quite a time of upheaval with all of the moves. So far I can't complain too much as Kristen turned 13 last week. And yes, I think most of them do have disaster rooms. LOL My kid included. When I can't stand it anymore I clean it myself and she pays the price of not being able to find her stuff. :-)
Congrats on the pregnancy. Your dd sounds perfectly normal. Most moms at GS's one night were complaining of dirty bedrooms & clothes on the floor. Its a common problem. So is butting heads.
She's had alot to contend with, changing schools, you becoming pregnant, the whole move. I think she's doing fine. Its the age.
Hello. I just started posting here, but I wanted to say my kid has chores he is 10 years old.......but I hear yeah sometimes its hard to get them to remember to do little things, like put the toothbrush back in the holder........
When my son complains about his chores, I have to remind him even if his friends don't have them, they aren't getting paid $10 a week either are they? So he has pocket money and his friends don't which is good and bad, because of course he'll flag down the ice cream truck and buy ice cream for all of them....
I've gotten to the point that I'm trying to look into Parenting books for "parental" calm.......ya know someone to help me keep my cool when things get rough.
I found this book, maybe it would be of interest, my son is a good kid, I just don't know how to communicate with him, or keep my cool when he frustrates me.......so books are good for that kind of thing......
Sounds like she's had a lot of adjusting to do with all the moving around, plus a new sibling added to the mix,it must be a rather emotional time for her and you. ((((((hugs)))))).
