Believe it or not, we are keeping our Christmas decorations up until next weekend

We celebrate Epiphany (January 6) as part of the holiday season, because I'm Greek and in Greece it's a huge day

We go to my parents, though, so we could technically dismantle OUR house, but I'm in no hurry right now

The decorations are cheery to me, and this time of year is so dreary, it depresses me to put them all away

I can't imagine trying to do it today anyway, I'm so dang tired

That is why I say I leave mine up.But like you I think the decorations make the house look cheery, becasue it is always such a let down after Christmas.Do you keep the kids out of school on the 6th?Gabby has a friend who celebrates Ukraine Christmas on Jan 7 and her friend always stays home on the 7th.Her dad is a Ukrainen minister.

DYK -

Between my daughter Abby and Alysha (here on the board), the book is better.

Thanks. . . that answered my question!!

I'm wondering if all the hype over "Twilight" I see is mostly for Robert Pattinson, or is it for the actual character in the book?

He's OK, but a bit young for my tastes, LOL

I might have thought he was hot in high school though

But I'm more of a tall, dark & handsome kinda gal, LOL

;)

Yes, thank goodness Matthew is now at the age to ALWAYS make it to the bathroom!

It was kind of sad, though, because Michael put a bucket with water in it by his bed, but he kept getting up anyway

He wouldn't even call us, he was really good, but I put the baby monitor in the hall outside his room, because I didn't want him to go through that alone

Michael finally wound up falling asleep on the floor of his room

He was funny at one point, he told me "Mom, it's just not MY night" LOL

Glad he had a sense of humor about it

Thanks Sandy :)

The phenergan actually helped him

I wish Michael had given it to him sooner, but he said he needs to get the virus out of his system

He doesn't like to medicate them like that unless he has to

By 6 AM, he had to, LOL

I'm really hoping no one else gets it, but I'm not real optimistic with 3 other kids

It's so funny to me that the name Sofia is so common now

When I was a kid, I was the only Sofia I knew except the other Greek girls at our church, LOL

I used to hate my name, but I don't anymore
