Really? I'm 5'8" and she is catching up. I was just looking to see if I have a recent picture of her, but I don't. I'll have to take one when she gets home today.

DYK sounds like Rachel....that's why she loves summer day camp too

DYK I remind Rach that friends won't help her get a job though (yes, I know, mean of me) but really I think a lot of the so called popular people at my HS ended up dropping out or marrying early

DYK altho some did finish college & have decent jobs

In Gabby's defense her friends bro,who is very academic minded did say that the h/s was a little intense and hard. Most of Gab's friends are pretty bright they would just rather socilize. However one she gets to h/s she is going to have t study a little more than she des now.She does want to go to college though and yu have to study to get int a good one.

DyK:

Minor cris avert.Around 4:30 Gab txted me she had a headache and no advil.

She did not know where to buy it and she wanted me to bring her some.

So I had to run over to the campus and bring her the advil.

We are both so used to it being in my purse since at school she can not have it in her purse.

The headache is now gone and she is at the rec room with some of her new friends.

I'm just glad it was close enough for me to drive over and help her out.

We just transferred what she already had on CD at the time. Heard iTunes can be pretty addictive...lol.

How much do the books on tape run? Is there a good selection? That would be great for our school commute...35 minutes each way every day.

I myself am going through an unpleasant weight gain right now (I'm weaning off the meds now...talked with dr today), and I have to be so careful what I say around Aly because she's putting on some chunk (puberty) herself...not unhealthy, but I don't want her to think she has a problem.

Do you watch Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen, too, or just Next Food Network Star?

Aly likes the clip on hers. Came in handy on our trips because when she wasn't listening to it, we just clamped it onto the pocket of the back seat.
