Hello all.
Thanks so much for being concerned about us. We are doing fine.
Jackie is still out of school they are hoping to have the schools open on Monday. We lost electricity on Friday morning and got it back monday morning after it went on and off for quite a while. We had some damage but not that much. Trees, fence (gone) and some damage to the roof of the house. Our street flooded but it did not get in the house. (that was scary) But we are doing okay. My brother and parents still do not have lights but they are both okay. The damage that IKE did was pretty bad. Our city like most others is going to take a long time to get back to normal. But thanks for your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate them all.

I heard that from lots of people. Wow what a difference 20 miles makes uh? I had numerous offers to leave here, to go there but I decided to stay. I could not imagine leaving and having a great time there knowing what was happening to my house and city. besides leaving the animals is not something i could have done. Its strange to think your whole house might be gone when you get back. or cars flooded or even house flooded...... Not something that would have mattered but having fun while it was going on. Nope.

Thats good that they have not started with all the projects yet. It must be an adjustment for the kids though. Jackie is in band she is learning to play the flute. I hope she keeps it up.

I hpoe your dh gets an offer. I know rebuilding takes a while. Its the clean up that will take forever. There is alot and with peoples schedules its just going to take longer. But it will be built back up expec. the coast. I dont think anyone is leaving anytime soon.
