OMG I miss Veronica so much! Just today I went to the camp website just to look around and see which camp she'll be old enough for next year and I just stared bawling! The time has sped by, but I miss her terribly now. Today is Saturday and we leave on Wednesday to go get her. I cannot wait to hug that skinny little thing and hear her voice. I want to hear every detail of every adventure. Since she's been gone I've only heard from her three times. Her last "letter" (e-mail) was happy, but she wasn't very fond of leave no trace camping. Unfortunately for her, this camp focuses on that a lot, so I'm not 100% sure that she'll be wanting to go back again next year no matter how much fun she had. Hopefully she's gotten used to the parts of that philosophy that she thinks are gross (bringing your used TP back with you to dispose of later - licking dishes "clean" etc.). My head is just filled with questions to ask her and I'm excited for the drive back. We actually have to cut it a day short because my boyfriend needs to work next weekend to make a deadline at work, but we'll still have fun in Durango and Santa Fe. We'll have to do our visit to Albuquerque in the Fall instead of on this trip. It's not too far from here anyway.

You'll have to let us know what her take on the camp was when she is home!

It's not really no contact, we can write letters, but no phone calls. It's a wilderness camp, so bringing cell phones and making and receiving calls from home would defeat the purpose. It makes it hard, but even when I went to camp (a LONG time ago - LOL) we weren't allowed to get calls from home unless it was an emergency.

Hmmm. Not too sure I'd be thrilled with carting my TP around either. LOL I'm sure she'll have a million stories to tell and even if she doesn't go back its a super experience. The days will pass quickly for you I hope.
