Kids Dance Video Recs Needed!

I brought my ten year old daughter to the doctor yesterday (sore throat) and was shocked at how much weight she gained this past year (12 lbs.!!). My daughter is petite (4'4") but weighs too much for her height. The doctor agreed that she should weigh about 68lb. or thereabouts. She now weighs 82 lbs. and needs to lose 10-12 lbs. Since she started developing, her weight has increased rather quickly (despite the fact that we have cut back on fat and sugar a lot this past year!)
The doctor told me - NO DIETS! Get her to move more. So..... I need some really good recommendations for kid dance workouts or other FUN workouts for my 10-1/2 year old daughter (and I) to do. I'm concerned that the dance workouts she wants (Sabrina's BYOU) may be too difficult to follow to really get a workout.
Any experiences, comments or recommendations about this would be most helpful!!
Many thanks,
Debbie

Jordyn's in gymnastics so any other exercise isn't real important, but what we found that was great was the Dance Dance Revolution. You can get it for Platystation and Game Cube. Its a ton of fun for both kids and adults and it really gets them up and moving. Her BF in Michigan is quite heavy set because of a glucose problem and she couldn't do a lot of activities, but her mom got her that and that has definately made a difference for her and she has tons of fun doing it with her friends when they all come over.
Also, are you in an area where you guys could start going on walks together, that might promote overall activity level and let you guys do more mother/daughter bonding.
Gosh sorry, have nothing to recommend by way of videos!
My dd is very active athletically so we have never had to check this area!
Sorry, hopefully some others

I suggest going to a video store and picking up a couple of hip hop movies. I searched around and found these sites that show some:

I got a video by the cooreogapher in the 2nd link when I was 13 yo and I loved it! He has cooreographed for Britney Spears, N'Sync, etc. so teaches you dances to those songs.
If money isn't a huge issue, I would suggest getting a family membership at a family gym. One that includes a pool, tennis courts, basketball court, etc. would be best as it would give the most options of fun things to do. Going to yoga, pilates, aerobics classes are also really fun for any age.

How about taking a nice walk with your daughter every day after dinner? Make it your special time together to talk and be together.
