I am not very happy with them. When I went to pay she goes $168. Excuse me? I couldn't very well say no, but holy carp. I told her we wanted caramel highlights and pretty obvious so we could tell. Well she has very fine dark caramel/reddish highlights and unless she's standing in the sunlight you can't tell. In the sun they look very pretty but for $168 I want the whole freaking world to know she's got highlights. LOL Kristen is happy with them but I won't be taking her back there. I could have done them at home for $20 and they would have looked just as nice. She says they'll lighten in the sun so we'll see. But I was sitting in the restaurant looking at her and I could not tell she'd had anything done. Rather pointless. She says "subtle and age appropriate". Ummm. If I didn't want anyone to know she had highlights I wouldn't have paid nearly $200 for her to sit here for 2 hours.
Oh well, first time for everything right? Live and learn. All those adages.

I saw the picture earlier and she looks beautiful :). My dd has been asking (nagging) to get her hair streaked/highlighted and showing me photos when she runs into something that looks like what she wants. I showed her your dd's photo and she said that was the closest to the look she wants.
What is a "partial"?

Holy carp is right i don't spend that much on my hair! Was that for the cut and color? LOL mine is about $80 for a highlight, maybe $130 for all. Ok going to sound cheap here, but can you go back and ask them to adjust it so you can see the highlights more, basically add more? They should be willing to make sure you are satisfied, especially for the price! My daughter wants hers done, but like I did as a kid, she already has rainbow colored blond hair, lots of natural highlights.

OOO my, that's alot of money. I can't see myself paying that kind of money.
Hey there Tam!
I'd love to see a pic of your daughter's highlights.
She's such a pretty girl!
Then, the woman called me to remind me of my appt. to get highlights again...about every 6-8 weeks and said it was a higher price if I waited too long...GIVE ME A BREAK. I didn't call back and won't go back.
Have I posted this? My life has been insane. I did more highlights on her myself Sunday night. LOL I bought the box for 15 bucks with the little cap and went crazy. I think it looks pretty good and she is happy. In the pictures you can see the darker highlights that the stylist did and the blonde ones that I did. So she's got multi-tonal hair. Someone commented that its good the first ones didn't work. If they had been fab she'd have wanted to go back again at $160 a pop. This way she is very pleased with Mom produced $15 ones so in my twisted way I can say this experience will SAVE me money. LOL She looks much "blonder" now.
