When gab was at dance tonight I was browsing Barnes and Noble for books she might like and I saw this one.It looks like the kind of book she'd enjoy, and the reading level is above 6.Has anyones 10/11/12/13 year old read it.If so did they enjoy it?Have any of you read it?I thought I saw it mentioned at one time.

Someone here has read it! I think Nathannah's daughter?

I just bought it for ME, but I haven't read it yet.

My son and I both read it last year when it came out.

I think it is sort of based on ALice in Wonderland, but not exactlly.I did order it from Gabby's book order form for her since it looked like something she liked.I just wanted to know if anyone else had read it.

I haven't heard of that book but speaking of book order forms my dd's teacher is not going to do it this yr. She said last yr. no one ever ordered so she isn't even going to try this yr. I always ordered & I miss not being able to. Seems to me she could have tried sending home the order forms the first 2 times they came out & then if no one ordered she could have stopped. I told her I was very disappointed, I love getting books thru that.

I wonder if there is a way to get them thru scholastic myself.

I have a feeling Gab's teacher may stop ordering too.Gab said she was the only one both times to order.i honestly don't order as much since she only has time to read the class nivel plus AR books and for some reason her teacher is hung up on exact reading level, reguardless of content.According to Gab teacher she can read the DaVinci Code, because it is above a 6.0 and she is in 6th grade. Most of the books in the young adult section of Barnes and Noble she can not read, because the reading level is below a 6.0.The school librian is unable to covince her that they should read based on content not reading level. Most of the books I read are at a 5. something.Any way Looking Glass Wars is high enough and the librian will order the test for Gabby.Has your dd read Stardust?Gabby loved the movie and that book is also ok.The librian did tell her it is kind of siniliar to the movies. Not sure if you can order the books on your own,but if you volunteer at the school maybe you can send an order in with the 4th grade teacher,if she does the book orders.

You should check if there is a Scholastic Warehouse near you.
