Someone does this on another board I post. Its a chance for you to post about the people you will miss this Holiday Season because they have passed on. A way to remember them and keep them in our hearts.

------------------------------------------------

For me its my Grandfather. He died 4 years ago this last Sunday and I still miss him. He raised me and was my "Dad", we were extra close and I was spoiled rotten. We all miss him but know he is out of his pain. The time goes so fast, its hard to believe its been 4 years but it still makes me teary.

In memory of our friend Denny who passed away last January. He died suddenly of a heart attack at the young age of 38, he left behind three children 16, 14, & 8 who are celebrating their first Christmas without their Dad.

This year I will be missing my dad. He died two years ago, on the same day my DD Sarah was born. I'm trying to be happy, because I know he wouldn't like it if I was sad at Christmas time. When I was a kid, he liked red Christmas lights, so we would put all red lights on the front of our house. I told my DH about this, so he hung all red lights on our house for me! We even got some of the older style big lights, along with icicle lights. We did this in memory of my dad. I'm going to try and post a picture of our lights, I'm having a problem doing it right now...

(((Stagemom)))--I know where you're coming from. I just lost a good friend on Sept 30 at age 46, and she left behind three children, 7, 10, and 12. They are spending their first Christmas without her, but cannot bear to be in their home, so they're going with another family to the Caribbean. It's just so weird to not have her around and my heart breaks when I think of her children.
