Make and take entrees

Does anyone have experience with those make-and-take entree places? If you're not familiar with the concept, the idea is that you go to the "store" and spend a couple of hours making a dozen or so entrees, which you can take home, freeze, and later heat and serve. The theory is to cut down on meal preparation time.

I'm thinking about trying one for a month, but I thought I'd first see if someone has had experience with them.

P.S. I didn't know if this should go on the recipe board or not. Sorry if it's mis-placed.

Gym-mom, I've never tried one of these places myself (I live in an area that's not populated enough to have one of these places nearby) but I have seen articles on them a couple of times in Working Mother magazine.

One of my friends owns a place like that. I personally never have been because I have picky eaters at home--but she is doing quite well!!

It does seem expensive to me, however, it is cheaper than eating out all the time. (I guess unless you go to McDonald's)
