It'll be Monday soon enough, but I have doctor's appointments all day long, so didn't know if I'd make it to post. I hope everyone has a great day!!

I am so tired. I slept horribly, too hot and sticky. Then a phone one of the girls freinds left here on Saturday started going off, alarm must have been set. Ugh. Why that child didn't come get it yesterday I don't understand. It's rainy, off and on. Didn't see Tim at all this morning. Took Matthew to school and he left before I got back. Ran to Starbucks and got an iced Mocha. Doing absolutely nothing and will be loading the dishwasher soon. Then I am taking a nap. I want to make myself a breakfast sandwich but I am so tired and lazy. I will be repairing my vacuum hopefully today. Got the new part in this weekend. Tonight nothing is going on, Dinner will be leftovers.
I ended up making that breakfast sandwich. Yum, it's so good. Glad I did.
Hello everyone! Four day weekend for the kids and me. Felt good to sleep in a little, I got up a little after 8:00.
I took Kayleigh in to apply for her passport this morning. Her photo is hideous! She is now at Starbucks with friends. Ian and I went to the mall to find some fall/winter clothes for him. We did great with jeans. Not so well with shirts, I'll have to look online. I guess he is getting to that age where they wear short sleeves all year long and are just cold or wear a hoodie in the winter.
I don't have anything much planned for the rest of the day, so I'll look with Ian online for clothes, read, work on my cross stitch, maybe finally order Kayleigh's senior pictures.
Have a great day everyone!
Mindy

Need to pack food for hotel, clothes, and diversions by 5:30 so I'm ready to head out after I drop Evan off at swim practice.
Please send prayers and positive thoughts my dad's way as he heads into heart valve replacement surgery tomorrow morning. I'm really worried but trying to hold it together for my mom's sake. I don't fake emotions well...
Will try to post from the hospital but may not see you guys until Thursday evening or Friday some time.
Enjoy the week!
Ami, sending positive energy and healing wishes for your dad.
Hugs, Mindy

Ami- good luck and prayers for your dad and your family!

Wonderful way to start off the week. Dh comes in at 6am and says his car won't start. I think cars "know" when to start acting up- we've got 5 months left to pay off the Focus. He said something about coming home early this afternoon and fixing it- he thinks it's the alternator. I thought he meant he was taking it somewhere- maybe it means he's coming here to fix it himself- I don't know.
Wish the neighbor next door was home- he went away for the week and he loves fixing cars. I have to admit even though his kids were nightmares when they were little (and they have turned into teenagers with issues, but they live with their mom so we don't deal with them on a daily basis) it is nice to have someone next door who knows what he's talking about when we have car problems.
At 6 am dh and I are trying to figure out which car he should take. Told him to go ahead and take the Focus- it has much better gas mileage than the van, and I have a phone if somthing goes wrong with it (you never know with a van at 125,000 miles)
Jenn- I'm with you- OVER teenage drama. Becca's 2 ex-bf's were talking to each other (they go to the same school) and her first one said something really nasty about her. One of the girls in Becca's small group at church overheard him and told him off. But- then she went and told Becca (I don't think she was looking for drama- she just wanted to let her know that these kids were being snarky) and it set her off. SIGH. So she was a mess after church. And it took me forever to get to her b/c I got roped into helping in the toddler room (which now I'm doing I guess until June- yay) and I can't leave a high school student in there by herself for pickup- even though she's almost 18 AND many of the parents know her.
Tonight is a soup that I'm not real happy with. I put frozen noodles in it about 12 and they're kind of mushy. SIGH. This was the only thing I could think of that was not a huge mess since I'm going to take Becca to practice tonight. And I guess dh is fixing his car.
