Kids are only in school for 2 days this week and then we are head off to Ohio.  I was suppose to take Matthew to get his permit today but this weekend after we got my car back I got home from cleaning it out, getting it ready for a long drive and it was smoking.  Turns out they didn't clamp down the radiator hose and it spewed anitfreeze all over my engine and dumped a lot of it out.  They didn't clamp either end and we are lucky it stayed on on one side.  So we dropped it off early this morning to have them check other clamps and Tim got a free oil change out of the mishap.  They are very very apologetic and took the blame like a man.  LOL  I appreciate it.  Anyway, I might get to take him this afternoon to test for his permit.  If not, we will go in the morning.  Natalie had another long snooze in bed this morning waiting last minute to get up and get ready so Tim has decided to be the one to get her up from now on.  We can't have her doing that.  It adds unnecessary stress to a basic easy morning with plenty of time to get ready.

I am baking today, all day.  We are in charge of the snacks up in Ohio so I am making things to take.  Pumpkin bread, three different cookies, maybe four and some white chocolate popcorn.  We will buy salty stuff when we get there Wednesday evening.

Dinner tonight, I think I'm going to make sloppy joes.  Something simple but not poultry.  I have had my fill and we will be eating more on Thursday.

Happy Belated Birthday to Matthew!! Jordyn had her letter signing at school this morning, so I went to that, then ran home to get some lunch to take to work and start dinner. At work now, not sure what's on the agenda for today. I have to run over to the post office later to mail a few things. I have a chiropractor appt. after work today and some paperwork and stuff to do tonight. Chicken Sausage and Zucchini pie for dinner tonight. Have a great day!

Yesterday we had a pre Thanksgiving meal and my kitchen is a mess! Often my mom goes rogue on the traditional menu, so I make a small version ahead of time.   I should clean in ther today, but...  About to share TMI-DH and I were having 'couple time' last night and the dog jumped on the bed causing DH to loose his balance and the palm of his hand felt like it went straight through the top of my stomach to my back. OUCH! Talk about a mood killer.   I'm still in a alot of pain, but no bruising ( can fat bruise, I've got a lot of padding there).  I ate breakfast and my body systems seem to work.  I feel much better sitting or lying down than standing.  We'll see how much work I get done.

UPS just delivered my mom's last gift.  We still have a case of wine to buy for the ILs.  I need to check into the logistics of having it shipped.  My dad just bought himself a Keurig.  I have bought cups for him as a gift  but got the wrong type-not for a keurig-(once I got home I realized it) and DH went yesteday to buy the correct ones only to get home and see he bought the wrong ones too. I might go to Amazon and just buy them off of there.  The ILs are being weird about the holidays.  I spent enough on Zeph, but if they want I'll pick up the Itouch on sale from them, but they are all 'its too soon to think about'.

Zeph is finishing his history reading and then he's got some other school work to do.  I'm thinking that we might have a Jaws fest today.  Volleyball is tonight.  Lunch is leftovers.  Dinner is brisket sandwiches, mac & cheese croquettes, and canteloupe.

I would be so annoyed about the car. Sounds like a quick fix for them, but for the inconvenience I would expect more than an oil change. Have fun baking.

They are going to give us a few free oil changes and now they are going to hook Tim's car up and see what the computer says is wrong with it without charging the normal fee.

A major power outage set me back on my baking. I had some pumpkin bread almost done when we lost power. Hopefully it will still turn out okay.

Ugh Chelle!! I hope it turns out well for you! Pumpkin bread is on my agenda either tonight or tomorrow night. I guess I need to break down and buy some xanthan gum to go along with my gluten free flour, but its so darned expensive!

Hi everyone, happy Monday!  It was a busy day at work, our problem student got observed, lunch times were changed and it was a little crazy.

Ian had a regular school day.  Kayleigh had school and then her first rehearsal for the winter play.  She got her report card today.

Tonight, we had pasta with pesto and salad, Now I'm relaxing, watching tv, figuring out some finance stuff and thinking about a glass of wine

Kids have 2 days of school this week, then we are off to the in laws for the holiday. DS is supposed tto be taking his driving test Wednesday morning, but it is supposed to be pouring and he has not had much practice driving in the rain, I might have to reschedule. This is the first time I have been able to respond on my iPad, hope it keeps working.  Not much going on just trying to plow through each day.
