Good Monday morning ladies, it's the first Monday of the year, some of the kds are already back to school, how are you today?

Today was my last day to "sleep in", I made it all the way to 7:30. DH and I were out a bit late last night, did dinner and saw Sherlock Holmes. Today, Madison has a doctor's appt. at 10 and I'm going to continue cleaning and laundry and a quick trip to the grocery store for lasagna supplies for dinner. Jordyn has to work tonight at 4:30.

We are off school this week too. I want to get the house really in order so I can focus on the issue of schooling. Until Zeph has his Lego space shuttle put together, he's not going to focus on much else anyway. The boys really liked the movie Tintin. I have 2 more pieces of furniture to move back to their normal locations. .

I've got some filing and the office to tackle along with some phone calls for field trip tickets or reservations. I'd like to work on lesson plans for the next 4 weeks also. DH needs to finish his letter of resignation and do a return at Old Navy and Petco. The new tank water also needs to be tested at Petco before the beta (who will be named Alpha) moves into his tank. DS wants to work on his Lego project and play more Wii Geo Bee. We have all enjoyed it. A trip to the library is also planned.

I also need to go get my car in a it, DH decided to drop it off to get new tires put on it today, and we need to go get it before jordyn goes into work. It's in the same plaza as target, so we'll pick up the truck, she can go off to work or whatever else she wants to do, and the little girls and I will go get groceries, we also need to pick up 2 birthday presents for parties the little girls have this weekend. Then I need to map out tomorrow carefully, other than MLK day and President's day, it's the last day I have off of work for the next few months and I have so much stuff that needs to get done!

Happy New Year everyone! Hope it started out well! Things are moving slower than I would like here but theyare headed in the right direction. Both kids had swim practice and I ran some errands. Found really nice, reasonably priced berries at Costco so we're starting the year on a healthy note. Dh made granola yesterday so we'll have some for breakfast and snacks for then rest of the week. Evan is at a friend's for a little bit and then he needs to come home, have dinner, and finish a Math project that's due tomorrow. He also needs to do a little more work on an essay for a summer program he's interested in. He's got the rough draft done but still needs to incorporate some of my comments and polish it a little. Tonight I want to finish cleaning our bedroom and get things ready for tomorrow. Kids go back to school, dh goes back to work, and I may put in a few extra hrs in the room at work so we're ready when the new session starts next week. I think I'll make some real Chex Mix tonight. We'll have it for snacks and lunches this week! Hooray! enjoy the evening everyone!

Mmm, Chex mix sounds good! DH picked up some trail mix at the health food store a few months ago the kids liked, I may have to get some more of that.

Monday was still a day off for the kids and for me.

Kayleigh was away for the morning - she had babysat the night before and stayed over because the parents were not coming home til 2 a.m. Unfortunately in the morning we discovered that Kayleigh's rabbit Laurence was sick. Dh and Ian took him to the doctor, who treated him and sent them home with medicines, but Laurence died on the ride home.

I'm sorry about her rabbit. It's difficult to lose a pet.

Thanks, it has been rough for her (and he rest of us). He wasn't a cage rabbit like most are, he lived in her room and was litter trained and free to roam around, like a dog or cat.
