Suprisingly the weekend seemed really long, only because we had yucky weather yesterday, hail and a bit of snow, so we were indoors most of the day and didn't go anywhere and the kids were climbing the walls!

Today, yucky day again, rainy and i have a lot of work to get done.

Good morning. It should be an interesting day today. I couldn't get to sleep until after 2:00 this morning, and was up by 7 to feed the dogs. I have not been able to get back to sleep and I have to be at work by 11. The rest of the day is jammed with activities, including cleaning the house, because apparently nobody can figure out the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer or vacuum cleaner and nobody Can figure out how to put anything away either. sorry to turn this into a rant, but for heaven's sake! DD has been wearing my clothes and hanging out in my bedroom, DS and DH came home early from the Klondike and their gear just got dumped in the basement, and I am really upset. I specifically told them that I didn't want to return to a mess, and they simply ignored me. I am going to get up and clean, so I don't have to do it tonight. I will check back in here when my attitude is adjusted : (

Very sleepy. DH had to leave at 4 am today to catch a flight and neither of us got much sleep. Fermi got a carrot chip stuck in his throat and while he could breathe, it irritated him into noisy coughing/wrethcing fits all night. I took him to the vet at 7 this morning. He was absolutely uncooperative and he's there for the day- since he needs to be sedated. Hopefully the xrays and a mouth/throat check will find the problem. As long as he's out they are going to do a leg/hip check on him and a great nail trim. One of his instructors noticed that his hind legs appear stiff, but I am hoping it is nothing.

I've been busy packing and have ignored regular housework. The laundry and dish piles are monumental. I'll be working on that, while Zeph is working on school.

Karate is tonight.

Today is a day off of work, Lincoln birthday. My kids have school though. Right now I am looking at all the junk that has been dumped in the front entry from the weekend. DS, DD, and DH have just left gym bags, dance bags, you name it. I am getting so tired of this. I have to run to Costco for a few things and get laundry going. I need to get a few valentines treats and a card. Tonight is dance, Boy scouts and a school board meeting that is mandatory. DH knows he better get home on time cause I can only driveDD to dance, she will have to wait at the studio until the meeting is over. Boy Scouts is on the other side of town so that one is his tonite. After a hectic weekend all I want to do is stop for a minute, but no such luck. Dinner is crock pot chili.

Wow, I haven't heard Lincoln's Birthday mentioned as a freestanding holiday in decades. When I was a kid, we had Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's Birthday and at some point they both got lumped together as President's Day.
