Morning.  First day of school and all three were starting new schools so they were all nervous ans scared and handling it in their own way.  Matthew was very quiet and dealing with a queezy stomach, Katie was jabbering her head off and Natalie was yelling at her to shut up and then bickering with her.  I was nervous for all three and when I came home Tim was sitting on the front porch waiting for me.  Sat down on the bricks and cried, I was so stressed and I needed a good cry.  Tim just hugged me up and let me cry.  Then took me to Atlanta Bread Company for a bagel and coffee.  Home and was having to wrestle with myself about taking a nap and enjoying the quiet house or start working on getting the house clean.  I chose to clean this mornng and take a nap in a bit.  LOL  I still need to fold some laundry and vaccuum then I will be done for a bit.  After school at 4pm Natalie has PT.

Dinner has not yet been thought out so I have no idea.

Good morning everyone.  Trying to enjoy my time off but I'm tired and my ear feels icky.  Our hot weather seems to have left. I'm not liking upper 70's when I wanted to spend these couple of weeks at the lake and water park with Ian.

This morning, I made french toast, ran errands to the bank and post office, now I'm doing a little cleaning. This afternoon, I hope to read, cross stitch, fill out Kayleigh's passport app, organize some things for our camping trip.  Ian is expecting a friend to arrive around noonish.   Kayleigh is working on summer assignments, and some things for science club and GSA. She'll probably take her bike out later.

Morning was a bit busy!  Kenzie had her drug awareness meeting for the swim team.  She was crabby as her cycle started, "mom guess what started today?"  Not surprised kiddo, you've been a bit moody the past few days!  Ugh. Now I'm at work until 7:00.  The treasurer to the association called on my way in and wants me to attend the board meeting tonight, DH will be so excited.

New washer is supposed to come today, yippee!!!

The girls wanted spagetti tonight, so we shall see if DH is able to run to the store to get that. We are still not able to see eye to eye about things and had a horrible conversation yesterday.

Home Today, slept most of the morning after DH got the kids up and around and left for their chiropractor appointment. I just got back from the chiropractor's also. Jordyn took books to the resale shop and clothes to plato's closet and was going to pick up the last of her school supplies she needed. I am going to do some cleaning of the house and that's about it for today, just rest my back mostly. Jordyn has to work tonight, and I am going to pick up the kids and try and start into a better bedtime routine this week before school starts next week. Have a great day.

I hope all the kids have great first days. Are they in a new school due to a move?

I had a doctor appointment this morning to have some moles looked at ( all normal, yeah!) and then ran errands.  After lunch I took a nap and Zeph played his DS and built with Legos.  I'm working on laundry now and trying to de-stress.  DH is on a tem building retreat for work- a boat tour, deep sea fishing and beach days are on his agenda.  Horrible timing, but I hope he enjys himself.

I'm here managing his parents and their emotions while trying to keep mine in check also.  MIL is all about how hot AZ is, and what a long drive it is, and how hard it is to leave the house to us.  They entered into this willingly and this is advantageous to them too.  It's been hard to keep quiet so we part on good terms. She seems completely unaware that we are having big life changing emotions also.  I'm ready to get in there and start unpacking!  She had movers come today and move their bedroom set to the garage to be shipped to AZ at later date.  FIL has a bad back and is sleeping on an air mattress for the next 3 nights and they are worried about how he will handle the drive.  I don't know why they are waiting to go, it seems like they are ready and just prolonging it.

We start school on Wed.  I'm hoping the schedule will add some normalcy to our lives admidst the change.  I'm getting things set for that.  On the plus side the dog has been oddly well behaved-YEAH!

What. A. Day.

Jasper.  Sigh.  I did some internet research on him.  He's been sleeping in the cupboard under the sink for about a week- not eating/ drinking much.  Sigh.  From the symptoms he has- (labored breathing, rapid heartbeat that we can see, major weight loss, lethargy) I think he's got some sort of heart failure.  And I have a horrible feeling it's past the point where anything can be done for him.  Sigh.  So didn't want to have to put any animals down while Kristen's not home.  Don't want to go there with my neighbor either- it was her cat to begin with.  Thinking maybe a vet visit is in order, but from other things I've read is that if heart failure is  advanced as I think Jasper is, he won't survive the proceedures to find out what's wrong with him.

Becca.  So we go to the DMV for a permit.  She hasn't looked at the book.  "Well mom- lots of other kids haven't studied and they passed."  She didn't even get past the signs part.  Missed 2 of them, you can't miss any.  Very frustrated child- esp since we waited over an HOUR to take the test.  And I forgot my Kindle.  SIGH. She can re-take in 15 days.  I so hope we don't have to sit there for another 2 hours and wait to test.  I need to check the school's website, but I think she has up until range to get her permit.

Kristen.  So far so good in school.  Though I'm probably going to get yelled at.  Pearson sent her 2 more checks.  At least that's what I thought they were- so I went and opened them.  I guess she got performance pay if she finished the project.  But I don't think she knew.  It's about $100- so it'll just about cover her part of the fridge.

So I texted her and told her that I'd put it in her savings acct so she can access it.

I'll probably get "MOOOOMMM- you aren't supposed to open my mail".  SIGH.  But what was I supposed to do? Mail them to her? Our credit union doesn't have an office where she's at school. The bookstore isn't going to cash a check that big.  Walmart is going to charge her a fee to cash them. Wait until next month when we see her to give it to her?

And now I guess the BF is coming over.  Didn't want to have to see him right now.  Told Becca she could have made me the "bad guy" and said that I said he couldn't come over.  School starts in 2 weeks anyways, so they won't be seeing a whole lot of each other after that point anyways.

On a positive note- this whole one child thing is actually quite nice.  No bathroom drama.  When we drive anywhere- the back seat is so quiet.  Quiet house.  You can walk in Kristen's room and not worry about stepping on stuff.  I need to do some work in there- I'm not changing much in there but I'm going to use some of the space for some very badly needed storage.

Worked this morning and did odds and ends around the house. This afternoon I took Evan to go get his school books ($400+ with only one new book, the other 6 were used or rented) and pick up salad for Evan's high school swim team BBQ.

Tonight Megan and I are having McDs and watching something on demand. Just want to relax with her for a while. We've been clashing a lot lately. More clashes ahead with school starting so want some calm when I can get it.

No Heather. They all moved into new schools cause the girls finally started middle school, 6th grade is still in the Elementary schools here and Matthew started high school this year. They moved the 9th grade into the high school for the first time this year.

How exciting! Did they all have great first days?

Did you sell your house? We've been so focused on the move that we kind of forgot that we still have to sell ours. I have a realtor meeting this week, but it won't go on the market til we're out,
