Good morning ladies, how are you this monday morning?  Any easter candy hangovers this morning, any relative/school trip traveling exhaustion?  How will you spend the day?

Hi, everyone!  The kids did not have school today so DS had his first behind the wheel driver's training session.  DH took him to town for that, so I was able to stay home and study.  I spent four hours working on the college writing assignment that is due tomorrow, submitted a photo for digital photography, and did this week's lab for astronomy.  In between tasks I did some housework and let the dogs in and out.  We also have a new puppy.  We got her about two weeks ago.  She is about 13 weeks old, a black lab mix with a little chow or sharpei mixed in (she's got a purple tongue), and she is just as smart as she can be.  The Beagle has not warmed up to her yet, but Crazydog gets along fine with the newcomer, just as long as she remembers that he is the alpha dog.  The Lab is DD's dog and she follows DD all over the house and when DD leaves for school or work, The Lab goes outside to look for her.  DD has taught her to sit and is in the process of crate training her.  Thankfully, The Lab came to us well on the way to being housebroken, so accidents have been minimal.

Hi everyone. Work/school day here. Work was very tiring.  Kayleigh's been busy catching up on work she missed while she was away. She doesn't seem jet lagged/exhausted. She went out for her first bike ride of the season.  Ian had a regular school day. The kids have a TAG meeting tonight

I'm making minnestrone for dinner (it's meat free Monday).  After, going to do a little paperwork, watch some tv and hope to turn in around 10:00 after having seconds of the decadent Easter dessert

Morning my friends.  Everyone was grumpy this morning.  We got in yesterday at about 5:30 pm.  Plenty of time to rest and get ready for the next day of school and work.  I even made dinner.  Started laundry washing and almost done with it.  Our trip was awesome!  Not the most perfect weather but by Saturday it was gorgeous and well worth staying an extra day.  Saw the Kite festival, I have never seen so many kites up in the air at one time.  We sat on the Mall and enjoyed the nice weather and the kites.  Sunday we spent the day drving home.  My mom made sure the kids had chocolate easter bunnies on the table by the time we got home.  This morning I made bluberry pancakes the only Katie ate and said were bland.  Oh well, I tried.  Everyone got off okay and I left early to grab a coffee cause even though I slept so good I am tired.  I was hoping for a pick me up.  Didn't work.  Woke with a sinus headache but it's better now.  Came in to work sitting on my desk and it was nice getting back into the swing of things.  I am working an extra hour today to make up for our vacation time.  I just have three more hours to make up so easy to do.  Matthew is wanting to run a bunch of errands after school bu I may put him off till Thursday when I am off.  I have a lot to do today to get things back on track.  Beside laundry there are dishes from dinner last night and the litter box stinks needs to be scooped. and there is a smell in the house I need to find where it is coming from.

I am make a beef stew of sorts tonight.  I am hoping I can whip up a bread to go with it.

I was in the car most of the day Friday and IV wouldn't let me post from my phone.  It was a long weekend...

Jordyn is home sick again today from school.  I know she is not happy about it, she was going to go in early today for help with chemistry, she apparently has started to fall behind a bit.  She was in bed most of the weekend sick and I am meeting her at the doctor's today at 1:00 to get looked at.  I have had her try all the at home remedies and other than just laying in bed and sleeping, she's just not getting any better.  I have a few things to get finished at work this morning and then I will leave to meet her at the doctor.  I also need to do a few errands and then go to the chiropractor at 5:00 today.  We need to return Jordyn's rental car today.  We were going to do it when she got home from work tonight, but she's calling in sick also so we'll take it back earlier.  I am no closer to having a car for her compared to Friday and I am extremely frustrated right now with things.

Tonight is paperwork, finding a sitter for the kids for DH and I to attend a wedding this weekend, and probably more laundry.  Dinner is chicken sausage stuffed zucchini boats.

Have a good one!

Good morning!  We had the perfect mix of accomplishment and relaxation over the weekend.  I'm pretty rejuvenated after getting outside and having the fresh air blow though the house. Spring just lightens my being somehow.

Today is the regionals for the National HIstory Bee.  I want this for him so badly!  After watching last year's final (thank you, Amazon on demand) and hearing Zeph match the winning kid's answers, I see that he has a good shot at this. He is feeling nervous but confident.  Last night he couldn't fall asleep since his mind was racing with possibilities.  I'm letting him sleep in and then trying to keep the day as normal as possible.

We're having ziti with grilled italian sausage coins and a fresh green salad for a late lunch.  Dinner will be packed sandwiches for the drive home.
