Haha, no I think it's the people that I have talked to. They are young, not married and no kids; so they just think its mom/dad wanting more than their kid wants for themselves. Her current coach, I think, is working well with her and brings up goals more. I guess I probably misspoke, just haven't gotten a response like this. He has connections though. The U14 goalie is leaving for Italy soon for a National tournament that is taking them overseas. I can't even begin to think how we would be able to afford that, if it were to happen!
Worked nights, this weekend, came home and slept less than 4 hours and now it's just wait for dinner to get done in the crock pot and go to hockey. DH is off to work and is still being quiet towards me...it's all business around here. Tell me what I need to know and off you go.
Kenzie had her first day of high school practice today! She was thrilled to be back in the pool. She is off making posters with her lane mates and is supposed to be home later.
Teagen had her first day of school and then goalie camp. Tonight, is hockey practice with the goalie trainers. I emailed Teagen's summer coach last nite. She has been getting requests to play for other summer teams next year and I told her about one that was trying to get us interested and asked her what she thought and she gave her current coach a huge compliment, "I like him, he's helped get 6/7 girls recruited nationally and he's a good coach!" His response was amazing and told me that he could definitely help her go to the next level, if that is what she wants. I felt weird telling him the information, but I'm glad I did. I've not had this kind of luck with my older dd, I tell them what she wants and they seem to act interested, but never like this...so we shall see where this takes us.
Thanks Tracy. At this point, I wouldn't mind the drive... Radiator damage to Dh's car as a result of the accident. Good news is he was able to fix it with heat resistant epoxy putty and as of this morning it seems to be running okay. Body damage is another story..
Yippee, three weeks off! Woke up at 5 a.m. and didn't go back to sleep for some time but then stayed in bed til almost 8:30. I made a big hot breakfast for us. I'm running some laundry so that Kayleigh and I can pack for our road trip. Ian and I are going to the lake this afternoon. I have a couple of chores and errands to take care of. Hoping to turn in early and get a good night's sleep because we have to hit the road around 6 a.m. tomorrow. Heading right up to Vermont to tour Johnson State in the afternoon, staying over in Stowe, driving to Maine on Wednesday, staying over in Bangor and seeing Husson in the morning, then driving home arriving Thursday night. See you all on Friday!
Bleh day today. Working this morning and then I get to come home and clean the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Going to bed early tonight because the rest of the week is going to be way stressful. Evan's advisor is coming over tomorrow evening and he's still going to sailing camp near my parents (Milwaukee) so I have to drive two hours to pick him up, do the happy household thing with the advisor, and drive him back the next day. I also have to drive Megan back because she's going to a sleepover at a camp friend's house Wednesday night. Then Thursday I have to pick her up and bring her back. This weekend we have to drive back to my parents and pick up Evan. Each drive is two hours one way...
Think I'll stop at the store and get something cheap and frozen for tonight. The less mess in the kitchen at this point, the better. When I leave the house at 8:15 tomorrow morning,, I won't have more than 30 minutes or so in the house before the advisor shows up. I really don't understand the whole visit. It's a school wide thing so it's not like they're checking up on us. I'm not happy about it, the timing stinks and our home is in terrible shape because we don't have the money to fix things or maintain it.

Tonight is pork and rice.
