I apologize for being completely clueless, but fasting = big meals? I thought fasting meant NO meals?? Just curious!!!!

Just trying to get organized here today as school starts tomorrow. We will probably end up at the pool late this afternoon for the last day it is open, it's sort of a tradition, although right now no one seems too interested in going.

Don't apologize, I should have explained it better.

We are hanging out at home today. We all went out to breakfast this morning and now Emma is in the bedroom throwing a fit because she doesn't want to take a nap. We were thinking about going garage saling, but we'll see, DH just got paged to go to work. Other than that, we may run out to do a few errands, but we'll see.

Have a good day.

Good Morning!

I am getting a late start as I was able to sleep in until 8 (yay). Now we are finishing breakfast and getting ready to head out for our shopping outing. It should be fun seeing as how DH and the boys HATE shopping. I bribed them by offering an early dinner at Rainforest Cafe. I get tired of buying stuff for pesky tweens stuff that they don't like or can't fit etc. I would rather brave the mall with them at least once so that I can get accurate tastes and sizes.

I hope you all have a lazy restful

Another question about Ramadan. In our local paper they did an article about Ramadan and the person in the article is starting his fasting today. He is going to a picnic and he said he would nt eat until after sundown.Just curious why Ramadan starts today for some and tom for others. The article did explain something about the first sighting of a full moon, but it went on to say that Ramadan would start for most people in the US today, but it could start tom also.Any reason for the different dates?I hope you don't mind me asking. Also do your kids fast yet?I am Catholic and kids do not really have to fast on certain Holy Days until they are 14.

I sent dh out with Gabby today, since she wanted new shorts for gym and she needs another pair of sneakers, because she has both pairs she owns in her gym locker at school.I figure he can see how much stuff costs for a change so he does not think we are wasting money when we shop.Gabby has more shoes than Imelda Marcos, but she was pretty hard pressed yestday, when they went biking, because she hates sneakers so she does not have a lot and the pairs she does have were in schol, since the gym teachers want two pairs.I told her she only needs one,but who listens to me.Let dh deal with her today.

Nothing going on here today. Everything is closed so we are just hanging at home. I have a ton of ironing and laundry to do and I've been doing alot of reading this weekend. I have to get Kristen focussed on school stuff since its the first day tomorrow. But we slept in and are just kind of hanging around today.

Well that's an age old question and I wish I had an answer to that one.
