Ok, so it's noon, but I still wanted ONE MORE cup of coffee, I had some really early this morning and none since, one more won't hurt, right?
Weather is so crazy today, freezing overnight then in the 60's/70's all day, the poor plants have no idea how to act. I just uncovered all the potted stuff, it shouldn't freeze again for this week at least so they should be safe. It's really irritating to me, we had s few hours of overnight freezing, zapping a lot of my inground plants and my poor banana tree, but then it probably won't freeze again for week or months or ever! So now my plants look gross, and we'll probably still have tons of fire ants to deal with.
Typical day around here, went for a run, made some bread, now we're doing schoolwork (well, dd is, ds is procrastinating as usual). This afternoon dd has guitar and then bible study, ds needs to get some horse time in, but he'll probably go hunting (went this a.m., nothing).
We had a great weekend, kids had a goat show on Saturday, then soccer party on Sunday, followed by a wine class for dh and I while dd spent some granny time and ds went with friends to a horse clinic. It was a lot and a little at the same time, never really felt rushed and had some time at home in between this and that, got plenty of sleep.
I'm finally feeling able to start planning Thanksgiving dinner, not sure yet how many are coming, but got my turkey and will start planning out the foods this week, will make some this week, I'm always finished with all my cooking by Wednesday so all I have to do is pop the turkey in the oven that morning! We're taking all of next week off, so I should have plenty of time to get it all done. Hopefully ds will plan out his lessons to be done by next week, otherwise he will have work and will complain non stop. We're on a new plan this morning of me posting his work and not nagging, allowing him to do it on his own. It's driving me bonkers though, he's wasting so much time I can't stand it!
Hi everyone! Popping in for a few minutes in between commitments this morning. I spent the morning at church providing childcare for the women attending Bible Study and will spend an hour plus in Megan's classroom helping out with Math Centers. In between I'm trying to have some lunch and get some laundry and soup (for dinner) going.
Tonight Megan has Musicianship and Evan has swim practice. That's about it. It feels like a lot but when I put in down in black and white, it doesn't seem that bad.
I think I should start squeezing some Christmas prep in here and there. Mom put me on Hors d'ouevre duty for Thanksgiving. Anyone have any ideas?
