I have a yummy but very simple appetizer that I made the other day for a football game party, everyone loved it:
crescent rolls (you can use those new sheets they have if available at your store) cream cheese dill (I used dried but will try fresh next
Take the crescent rolls and roll them out into a flat sheet, pressing the perforations together so it's one big flat piece of dough (again, they now make crescent dough in sheet form, so you can just pop it open and it's ready!) Lay the cream cheese in the middle, sprinkle with dill on both sides, wrap and seal the block of cream cheese with the dough. Bake until done (20ish minutes?? I just baked until it was browned).
That's it, it was good, just slice and eat, yummy. I used the less fat cream cheese, but I'm sure it's better with regular.

Katie, I am so sorry to hear about your dog.
As for my Monday, it was a work / school day for us.
