Monday Morning Chit Chat Thread

Stealing from my brother's facebook status today because I thought it was poignant.

I know today is Monday, and you assume its going to stink, but according to statistics, there will be over 5,000 weddings, 10,000 childbirths, and 42 million hugs occuring throughout the U.S.  Also today, there will be at least 4 people that will win multimillion dollar lotteries and 600 people will get promotions at work.  There will also be 600 dogs adopted, 35,000 balloons sold and 800,000 skittles sold.  Plus, the words "I love you" will be spoken over 9 million times.  So, again, I know today is Monday and you assume its going to stink, but just smile, because according to statistics, it should actually be a really nice day.

Now, I know some are lucky (or unlucky) enough to get a snow day today.  Others are enjoying some very nice weather.  What is up in your neck of the woods today?

Well good morning. I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was decently good and busy. Today, I have a 10:00 meeting, also hoping lunch plans come through, but we'll see. Off to the chiropractor's office after work, and some cleaning and laundry tonight. We are having beef stew in the crock pot for dinner tonight. Have a great one!

I have the day off. Yeah me, the teachers have a district wide in-service today.  I lucked out and don't have to go because I did this in- service last year. It was given to a group of us in Special  Ed.  Today will just be a chore day. Kids will be at school til 5 so I should be able to catch up. DS has Boy Scouts tonight and I already know DH will be working late. Dinner is tortellini and Italian sausage with a salad.

Interesting facts Tracy.

I was going to post this morning but when try to post with my Ipad and I make a mistake and need to go fix a typo I can't type finish typing.  It freezes up for some reason.  So I gave up and decided I'd do it later.  I am TIRED today.  I did not sleep very well at all, was constantly waking up.  Absolutely no energy.  Katie was home sick again today and will be for a few more days if not all week.  She has the flu, again.  The doctor said there are two types going around and that she probably had other other before Christmas and now has type A.  Ugh. There is a chance that Natalie will get it and then Matthew.  I only did the clean up that needed to be done to get us by for the day.  i will do more tomorrow.  There is a critter somewhere in my fireplace.  I don't think it's in the chimney, I think it has crawled up beneath and managed to get on top of the firebox.  Tim is going to try and figure out real quick exactly where the thing is.  OMGosh!  He thinks he's going to set boards up and this thing will run out the door because these boards will direct it out the back door.  Good grief!!

Did I mention I have an interview on Thursday.  I do, 10:30am.  oping it works out for me.

Dinner is spaghetti and homemade bread.

After a wet and dreary day (the sun peaked out just a bit) this was uplifting.  Thanks for sharing. Thankfully it was in the 40s-the warmth was a welcome change.

This morning Zeph did a quick bit of schoolwork and then I took him out to breakfast followed by his Microsft Class.  We then went to  the library to do more schoolwork and then home.  I napped while he worked on more school.  DH is out getting dog food and pizza.  We'll watch an episode or 2 of Merlin after we eat.

Hi all, had a tough time trying to post yesterday.  It was a snowy Monday. We had early dismissal from school, which we knew going into the day.  The kids were home before me, since HS dismissed first, then MS, then elementary, but I was home by 12:20 and the roads were not bad yet.  It only ended up being about an inch of snow, and we never got the freezing precipitation later in the day that they promised us.

Kayleigh got caught up on homework, Ian worked on school and not school projects.  I watched the skating that I tivo'd and caught up on other tivo'd shows, started a new book, paid some bills, etc.

Yesterday was the start of Quarter 3 for both kids.  No schedule changes for Kayleigh. Ian was sad to be done with TEch and Art, but happy to start a quarter of Family/Consumer Science - he can't wait to start cooking again.  He also has a first period IS which is the stupidest waste of time ever.

Now, off to start a new day!

Chelle, I think I know what you are talking about on the iPad, I haven't figured out if its an ipad issue or an IV issue, but when it freezes up like that and you can't type, hit the key to make the keyboard go down and disappear and then click back into the text to type again, then is should type fine.  I can't remember if it happens to me when I am typing emails on my aol also, or just when I am on IV in my ipad.  It used to only happen when I was using Terra on the ipad, but I have noticed it happens on safari also.
