Need quick resume' advice....

Okay, here's the deal:

A school 6 miles from home calls me today. (I currently teach 22 miles from home.) I'm already expecting to have to say, "I already signed a contract," but get this! She tells me that she's already talked to my principal, and my principal has said wonderful things about me teaching 6th grade and math (not together yet, but this is a 6th grade math position), and that she would hate to lose me, but she would also hate to hold me back from a great position and a great, close location.

So, I get to interview with her tomorrow.

My resume' currently says 2006-present for a 6th grade Study Skills position. I've already signed the contract that I will be teaching that next year. Do I change that to 2006-2007 or leave it as is?????

You're still doing it and no plans to change unless you get the job, so stick to the original way.

I look at resumes constantly. Please double check all spelling and grammar, flow of the resume, correct dates, etc. You would not believe some of the resumes I have received and I usually just toss them in the trash.

Alysha,

Sorry, I do not have any resume` advice for you. But I did want to pop in and say good luck! This sounds like a great oppurtunity for you, being closer to home, and especially if there are going to be no hard feelings between you and your current school if you do get this position. I am keeping you in my thoughts today, hoping that everything turns out just the way you want!

Hugs,

Thank you!

I will check over it again. You would not believe how anal I am at overanalyzing everything. I tend to have perfectionist habits when it comes to typing things--I do it over & over & over again...lol.

Thanks!
